I've seen Medics running around trying to Ubercharge Spies instead of someone useful, like a Heavy. On the Sniper Rifle, the Sniper Rifle's design is intentionally gimped so that it won't be like the AWP in Counter-Strike. It's exactly the same as it was in Team Fortress Classic where it was gimped to have actual gameplay mechanics to its approach. Yes, and I've seen Medics literally refusing to use Ubers. This said, good Pyros know how to bounce back a Soldier's rocket in their face. Being slower than average isn't helping vs. Spies, and Snipers like to OHKO them with a good headshot before they're a threat to their own team. Finding good ambush spots are also pretty hard for pyros especially if you have never played the map. @Dio Have you played TFC before? and if so did you use the pyro in that one? Being able to fight competently with the Soldier very early > not knowing who to Uber. You know this can go the other way around. Learning to heal people and help the team > Blowing yourself up. Rockets being quite slow, they're pretty damn easy to dodge or even reflect. Sure, he's alright at close range, but don't die of combined splash damage and enemy damage. Pretty much eliminates the Pyro from the easiest to use class. Nope. The only other games where I had to use a flamethrower were single player (at least I didn't try them in multiplayer).
