She procrastinates with this thread, RP and MSN, then basically skips sleeping because she has no time left to get them done. The consequences are obvious, as is her reaction (">_>"). But that only makes them try harder and succeed. Same for sports, etc. In terms of academics, it happened to me because I was being a lazy butt (not rock bottom but..) and I rose back to being the first in the grade.
