The only useful effective weapon on that game is the Laguz Axe and bow. Longswords are fucking hilarious. I didn't say inflation because from what's been said, the enemies become a threat later on while in FE9, GEOFUCKINGFFREY CAN REACH DURABILITY TO SURVIVE OVER 10 ROUNDS OF COMBAT IN HM AT A LOW COST. True, hence why I said crap enemies, but minor nitpick aside... HM was indeed nothing special. What irked me most was the availability of some weapons, but even then my core team barely changed, and I'm a guy that uses a lot of Bonus Exp. on Shinon and Tormod. I'm more used to Normal mode since it's the mode I played for my transfer run, but I remember the Paladins near Ashnard using IRON WEAPONS. Where's all the Sages with long range magic and status staves? Why so few ranged sword users? Why not more enemies with Hero weapons? Why not forge just for the hell of it? Etc.
