Axes of Talys

A "fun" team I decided to make one day while I was playing on Hard mode (H1).

I like this team very much, but feel that I could've done better with it. here it is:

(all units are at level 20 btw)

Ogma (Hero)

HP 60 / STR 25 / MAG 3 / SKL 26 / SPD 22 / LCK 21 / DEF 12 / RES 3

Sword: A

Axe: A

Barst (Warrior)

HP 58 / STR 30 / MAG 0 / SKL 21 / SPD 24 / LCK 20 / DEF 12 / RES 3

Axe: A

Bow: A

Bord (Berserker)

HP 56 / STR 30 / MAG 0 / SKL 22 / SPD 20 / LCK 19 / DEF 12 / RES 4

Axe: A

Cord (Berserker)

HP 54 / STR 30 / MAG 0 / SKL 20 / SPD 26 / LCK 22 / DEF 14 / RES 4

Axe: A

Wrys (Bishop)

HP 57 / STR 3 / MAG 25 / SKL 20 / SPD 19 / LCK 19 / DEF 13 / RES 27

Tome: A

Staff: A

Question: I'm going to remake this team in my next playthrough; help me analyze each unit's strengths and weaknesses and suggestions for improvement. But I want to keep the same units and classes (however I may switch out Wrys for Caeda, as she's also from Talys and can be a good Mage).

Also, would it be better to start making this team on Normal mode or H1 again?

Any help would be appreciated, kthnx.

Caeda is a much better choice than Wrys, but I don't suggest making her your Sage. Also, don't use Warriors nor Heroes. Period.

Make one of the axers a Sorcerer (if you even want a magic user); they have the same caps as Sages and they want the supports for Swarm. I suggest Sniper for Caeda because Longbows are really nice for chip damage and she can be your magekiller. Everyone else should probably be Berserkers (Aum glitch for 3x). One will have to be a Horseman if you don't want to RNG for a max Mag/Def Sorcerer.

Anyways, I've decided to remake the team, replacing Wrys with Linde and hereby renaming it to Battle Axe (because Linde isn't from Talys and Wrys wasn't being awsum enough in my recent playthrough).

Here it is when loaded from the save file:

(stat boosters have not been used; all units are at Lv.20 and have A-rank in the weapons useable by their class)

Ogma (Hero)

HP 58 / STR 25 / MAG 1 / SKL 26 / SPD 12 / LCK 15 / DEF 16 / RES 3

Barst (Warrior)

HP 53 / STR 23 / MAG 0 / SKL 21 / SPD 24 / LCK 24 / DEF 14 / RES 1

Bord (Berserker)

HP 54 / STR 28 / MAG 0 / SKL 22 / SPD 13 / LCK 16 / DEF 14 / RES 0

Cord (Berserker)

HP 51 / STR 25 / MAG 0 / SKL 15 / SPD 25 / LCK 19 / DEF 15 / RES 0

Linde (Sage)

HP 40 / STR 3 / MAG 20 / SKL 20 / SPD 25 / LCK 30 / DEF 4 / RES 19

So much better than the team I've posted before. Anyways, suggest tips on how I can improve on this team without reclassing any of my units. Mainly what stat boosters I should give to which units.

I know that this team can't hold its own against the more competitive Wi-Fi teams, even with forged weapons. Maybe it's because I don't RNG abuse, only Arena abuse... :P

Reclassing (And RNG abusing) is the only way this team could be better. If anything, you should aim for max HP, Str (mag for sages), Spd and defense for your characters. Also, I'd make Barst a Berserker because they fair much better than Warriors. If I were in your place, I'd consider making the team look like this:

Sorcerer Cord

Berserker Barst

Berserker Ogma

Berserker Bord

Dracoknight Caeda

That would fit in with your original team name.
