independent trials. each one has a 50% chance of hitting me...not you hit once for every two.

Think about flipping a coin...you're suppose to get heads 50% of the time...but that rarely happens.

Also: Here is the proof. With 2 flips there are 4 different results, HH, HT, TT, TH. 3 of them involve contact, one does not. 3/4 =75%.
