Metal Rabbit
this plathrough, im doing hard mode, ephraims route with no tower and no random encounters. for someone who's never beaten hard mode in... anything, this is a step up in dificutly -_-
Wolt
It's not so much of a challenge, just not as hard as other hard mode playthroughs. You should be fine with enough strategy involved.
CGV
ive acutally never done it in hard mode. i should do that sometime
Florete
Just finished Eirika's hard mode, doing Ephraim's now myself.
Eltoshen
The only hard chapter will probably be the ship chapter.
Wolt
Does anyone know exactly what turn the boss shows up on?
Vangaurd
This game isn't that hard because once you take out all of the enemies that actually attack you, you can simply wait and heal before moving into the rest of the movement ranges. Seeing as I could barely beat it on normal mode, I don't know if they actually changed the AI for hard simply because I haven't played it. Meteor
FE8 was too boring to even deserve my time in form of a Hard mode run.
Jyosua
I started on hard mode. I never bothered with normal.
Kentobu
Hard mode was kiddy mode. I've done both Eirika and Ephraim's. Nothing special really.
Metal Rabbit
The only hard chapter will probably be the ship chapter. after failing it 12 times, i pinned all my hope on this low-brow strategy: gave duessel an angelic robe (i was planning on using him this PT anyway) and loaded him up with axes. had him rescue ephraim at the start and the onslaught started. i barely made it, the allies barely made it. like i said earlier, i've never finished a hard mode PT. Vangaurd
I'm reasonably sure that once you get Duessel, you could beat the game using only him. Same applies to whats his name, the wyvern lord. Cormag. Thanks, Haar. In case you couldn't tell, this post was edited.
Haar
Same applies to whats his name, the wyvern lord. *cough**cough**cormag**cough**cough* :P
Meteor
I started on hard mode. I never bothered with normal. Badass. Was it more enjoyable that way?
Vangaurd
How would he know? He never played normal mode. XD.
Meteor
More enjoyable than the regular bashing I hear.
Vangaurd
Well, according to most of you (ie: the people on these forums), the game was so easy it barely classifies as enjoyable in the first place.
Meteor
It was pitiful, and the characters weren't developed at all.
Vangaurd
That I would agree with. But it was easy to get support because you could spam the tower.
Metal Rabbit
some of the characters had developement. i think you're all tainted by the general awfulness of the game to see it. gerik for instance.
Meteor
Gerik: I'm muscular and known as a tiger. And that's not battlefield experience. I don't see the development.
Metal Rabbit
...you read his supports?
Vangaurd
I didn't know you were supposed to read support conversations...
Florete
I read every support
Vangaurd
Yeah, it took me a while to realize you can only have 5 supports with a character. They kept sitting there and I was like WHY WON'T YOU SUPPORT DANGIT!?!?!
