- IIRC, the only Myrmidons/Swordmasters that are found in FESD are either recruitable, in the arena or in gaiden chapters.

- In the time between SD and NM, technology advances such that Levin Swords get stronger, but Javelins get weaker.

The Nintendo 64 was the only console not to see a Fire Emblem game.

You're right about that, but also the Game Boy and the Game Boy Color (though not consoles) didn't see a Fire Emblem either.

Although Fire Emblem had its first five games on consoles, the first Fire Emblem officially released in North America was for a handheld system.

Since this is a well known fact, I'll give another one here:

Roy sounds really angry in Super Smash Bros. Melee but in his actual Fire Emblem he is very kind like his father, Eliwood.

There is a minority in the Japanese fanbase that sees FE Gaiden really just as a Gaiden game and thus the FE's from Mystery onwards are numbered from 2 onwards.

While Sacred Stones and Path of Radiance are nowadays known as FE8 and FE9 respectively there was once a time where the numbers were switched around because PoR was announced earlier.

Half of FE1's tileset are the unit map sprites.

Just noticed after looking at item location tables - I'm sure not many others have:

The Brave/Hero weapons, since their introduction in FE4, have always been separated into a trio having similiraties in obtainment/stats and 1 standing out, which is usually the Brave/Hero Sword.

FE1-3 - Did not exist, but it could be seen as 3 games without, rest of the series with.

FE4 - 3 of them are obtainable by characters talking with each other (1st gen.), except for the Hero Axe, Lex gets on a chapter 1 special event. The Hero Sword also has 2 ways of obtainment in the 2nd generation.

FE5 - Three are carried by/given to specific playable characters, except the Hero Sword found in a 4x chest.

FE6 - Three are obtainable (the Brave Axe carried by Hector in trial maps), but the Brave Sword is not.

FE7 - 3 of them are found in chests, except the Brave Sword carried by Harken.

FE8 - 3 of them are found on chapter 19, dropped by enemies, except for the Brave Axe held by chapter 17 hero.

FE9 - They are held by playable characters (Shinon, Geoffrey and Haar), except for the Brave Sword found on a chapter 21 chest.

FE10 - Three are obtainable through base conversations, except the Brave Bow which is a Hidden treasuse in 3-6.

FE11 - Three have 80 Hit, except for the Brave Lance which has 75.

FE12 - The Quick weapons, the cheap Brave alternatives, have 12 uses each (cost 960G), except for the Quick Axe which has 10 uses (costs 800G).

Lycia in FE6/7 has a very French origin to it. The main thing there is Roland and Durandal. The French meaning of Roy is King. Despite this, Roy doesn't become the ruler of Lycia/Pherae at the end of FE6 as Eliwood is still alive.
