After showing that Pokemon White is beatable (meaning, until the credit roll), I think optimizing and recording the run would be a fun challenge. I typed up a quick outline of notable events in Google Docs, but I really would appreciate any general suggestions that anyone can provide.

Anyway, the goal is to minimize the number of caught Pokemon needed, the items needed, and the number of Pokemon Center visits needed (among other things). Ideally, I will only visit the Pokemon Center to heal Pokemon when I also need to deposit Pokemon. Items obtained will be all TMs listed, in addition to the Amulet Coin, Rare Candies, and select vitamins along the way (Protein especially). Any PP restoring items will also be desirable; however, PP Ups are not generally useful. Trainer battles will be ignored, except for mandatory gym trainer battles, Team Plasma battles, and a couple of forced battles due to nonrotating trainers.

Additionally, there are some preferences on certain Pokemon's traits. It goes without saying that a Pokemon shouldn't have a nature that reduces its most beneficial stat or raises its least beneficial stat, so I won't bother to include those (which would include like every Pokemon listed):

- Yanappu (10) must have max or near max Atk

- Nageki (17) must actually be level 17 and have Vital Throw (although I'm not sure if level 17 Nageki actually exist here, because Serebii is sometimes wrong with this information)

- Chiramii (22) must have Technician as its ability so that Basurao (25) will have Adaptability as its ability

- Tsunbeaa (37) must be female with max or near max Atk

- Kojofuu (37) must actually be level 37 and have Jump Kick, and it must have Inner Focus as its ability

- Aianto (42) must have Hustle as its ability

There are a slew of good TMs available, but most of them are completely useless in the context of the run. The obtained TMs will be used as follows:

- TM83 (Cheer Up) taught to Yanappu (10)

- TM67 (Vengeance) not used

- TM76 (Bug Resistance) not used

- TM28 (Dig) taught to Meguroko (22), Ishizumai (22)

- TM39 (Rock Tomb) taught to Meguroko (22), Ishizumai (22)

- TM73 (Thunder Wave) taught to Zeburaika (33)

- TM72 (Volt Change) taught to Zeburaika (33)

- TM55 (Boiling Water) taught to Basurao (25)

- TM78 (Level Ground) not used

- TM81 (X-scissor) taught to Aianto (42)

- TM61 (Will-o-wisp) taught to Desukaan (37)

- TM62 (Acrobat) not used

- TM79 (Ice Breath) taught to Tsunbeaa (37)

- TM16 (Light Screen) taught to Koromori (42)

- TM33 (Reflect) taught to Koromori (42)

- TM30 (Shadow Ball) taught to Desukaan (37)

- TM82 (Dragon Tail) not used

As for time-saving shortcuts, there really aren't any. Basically, I just have to minimize backtracking, minimize wild encounters, and optimize catches, although I don't have the intense patience needed for such RNG manipulation and will probably end up exchanging time for likelihood of success a bit more than necessary. I considered at a point, getting the Wing Fossil and whiting out back to the Shippou City Pokemon Center so I can get an Aaken at this point in the game, but it doesn't do well against either the 4th or 5th gyms and probably cannot make up for the time needed to travel by bicycle from Shippou City to Raimon City. It does, however, almost totally obsolete Ishizumai, and makes N battle 3 and Cheren battle 5 a bit faster.
