Junkhead
I am about to do a small Let's Play of Soul Reaver 2's ending. I won't warn for any spoilers, since I doubt anyone will play it. :) Exiting the subterranean ruins, and the Elder's lair, I find myself with a few demons: They happen to be pretty tough, but nothing the Soul Reaver can't handle. :) And...upon their defeat, they left me with very low health, and an over-loaded Soul Reaver just finished me. I fade into the Spectral Realm... NEED SOULS Once returned to the Material Plane, I plunge the Reaver into the door's lock, and make my exit out of the subterranean ruins. TO THE PILLARS! Also charging up the Reaver a bit...since the worst is yet to come... Exiting the Pillar's grove, I find myself with a trollDemon "THOU SHALL NOT PASS" For my surprise, there's more: DEMONIOS Once again, the Reaver will reap their souls. VAE VICTIS, BITCH NEED MOAR SOULS I find my entrance to the Sarafan Sanctuary impeded by the thick ice covering the door. Nothing the Fire Reaver can't handle! Now that the thick layer of ice covering the door is gone... I forge the Light Reaver. Imbued with the elemental power of light, I aim to that giant, pink crystal up at the door. CHARGIN' MAH LAZER Now that the entrance is open, I make my way to the Santctuary. I'm in! Inexplicably, I find the Blood Reaver laid there as if nothing. What a coincidence... Yep, should've seen it coming... Moebius' staff is effective against vampires, and since the Reaver is made out of vampiric energy...yeah. This guy, Malek, has to be very strong if he managaed to defeat Kain and slay tons of vampires single-handedly. "Poor, deluded Raziel... did you somehow imagine you had the guile to change history on me? I’m the Time-Streamer – I knew your every intention before you did, you imbecile." "I admit that I’ve underestimated you to this point, Moebius – but it’s a mistake I won’t repeat."
Junkhead
Here's the second part of it. Massacrating the Sarafan, and avenging Janos Audron's murder: ...And that's how he got locked up inside the Sanctuary, hooked up to the Reaver. I encounter Raziel's first two brothers, Melcaiah and Zephon. I was eager to see what the Reaver would do to these two. Aha, they're pretty tough! But I still managed "As Melchiah and Zephon fell before my blade, I felt the Reaver’s blood-thirst as keenly as I ever had when I was still a vampire. I could sense the boundary between us dissolving – the Reaver was consumed with my rage, and I was intoxicated by its bloodlust. The blade had a vitalizing effect on me – my physical energy no longer decayed over time, and the wounds inflicted by my foes healed almost instantly. The Reaver had made me invincible." In other words, the Reaver is cheap. I encounter the other two brothers, Rahab and Dumah. These bastards had no idea the future that awaited them... First, Rahab goes down Then, Du- ...! WTD. :[ And there he goes! Continuing my massacre... I encounter the last brother, Turel "And here at last was my brother Turel, who along with Dumah would bear me into the abyss without questioning Kain’s command. So dutiful and righteous, even as a vampire... I guess some habits die hard. The vampire Turel had eluded my vengeance; the Sarafan Turel would not." Moar WTD. 8[ This happened alot. He was the toughest, so far. But nothing the cheap, Blood Reaver can't handle. >8] Paradoxes. The Legacy of Kain series is full of them. And the Ouroborus just goes perfectly with the current situation, as that human soldier happens to be Raziel in his Sarafan days The Blood Reaver is so cheap, you can't even drop it to give yourself a challenge. It heals you instantly after getting damaged, and if it weren't for that, I would have died a few times by now. "I renounce you" Suicidal. Also, Flawless Victory. Lol. Raziel's Wraith Blade (Which happens to be that energy encoiled in his arm) encoils itself on it's physical, twin-self, creating the Soul Reaver. It's out of control... Again, suicidal! There at that moment, arrives what is one of the best-written video game character. No joke. "Don't fight it, Raziel. Give into it..." As Raziel agonized from the Reaver's torture, Kain stepped forward and... "Now you are free to reclaim your destiny, Raziel!" All of sudden, there's a cataclysm. And Kain suddenly realizes They fell right into their enemies trap. The Hylden. "Raziel, Janos must not be resurrected!" But Kain's words were becoming unclear as Raziel faded into the Spectral Realm. And there, waiting for him as always, was his twin soul, eternally bound to himself. He realized that he didn't change his destiny, but merely posponed it. And that's it for Soul Reaver 2's finale! Nightmarre would be proud. ;~;
