Outside of context, however, that map would make no strategic sense, not to mention that wyvern riders aren't the only units in their military. It still doesn't change the fact that the elevation difference makes it easy for archers to snipe those below.

AK, that only applies to FE10 and real life. This is FE7. Get with the times.

and it completely disregards the fact that any ground troops (they do exist) will be wiped out if the river floods or whatever since the cliff means that the flood will obliterate the fort

not to mention the difference in elevation when the river decides to flood over during the rainy season

I'm glad someone agrees with me on terrain, in spite of my lack of mapping expertise.

It looks like he smashed face-first into the pavement. His nose is flat, his eyes are sunken, his eyebrows are misshapen, and there's a lot of unnecessary shading going on around the sides of the face.

Your map is still a bloody JPG, and random gap of clear water is random. Also some cliff/elevation issues with the river, still.

I don't see too many straight lines. I see some of the paths are really "blocky" though.

The actual problem, visually, is that your portrayal of heights is really f'd up. Your river suddenly flies up onto a cliffside, then plummets down magically to the same level of the paths, and then somehow proceeds in a huge dip (the cliffs with the pathways) as if the entire path was as level as a pin.

Visually, those are the biggest flaws, if flaws is all anyone cares to point out.

Maybe not so much straight lines, but they're super angular and kind of not-smooth.

I'm referring to the cliffs around the lake in general, your cliffs tend to just follow one diagonal and not really change much.

But I do appreciate the help. :):</p><p>EDIT X2: Why did it get all messed up..? <img src="http://serenesforest.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif" class="bbc_emoticon" alt=""></p>
