AstraLunaSol
..Do you mean the statsheet. Really, this topic is really bad at explaining.
KingKomodo
No, the look, the background, sorry it's hard to explain, Here This thing (this is Lord Glen's Signature by the way) Edited June 8, 2011 by KingKomodo
Nanami Touko
Yeah, that's the statsheet. And it's just image hacking. Grab GBAGE or UNLZ, design your own, make it 16 colors, and then insert it.
KingKomodo
Oh... Thanks, sorry still kinda a beginner, got lots to learn but also got lots done already.
Celice
Yeah, that's the statsheet. And it's just image hacking. Grab GBAGE or UNLZ, design your own, make it 16 colors, and then insert it. Is all of it only one image, or are there multiple images for the light gradient effect? If it's just a fading/glowing palette, it's gonna be that simple, but if the top-portion switches images for each frame, he'll/she'll have to make sure to find those frames and edit them respectively, naturally. Nanami Touko
For FE8, the entire statsheet is one image. For the bars and such inside of it, those are different.
Celice
It seems you misunderstand--the top of the statsheet "glows." The issue would be, Is it animated, or Is it a palette fade/rise. If it is one image, and nothing fancy is going on, it is one image with that latter effect and not the former, yes? Nanami Touko
The glow isn't part of the background, no. It's an extra effect that's placed on top of the background.
Celice
So there's another layer added with transparency? man, liking the NES more than other systems really skews what you expect games to do XD When someone asks for a how-to, and they only follow the how-to, the second the meet something not explained in the how-to, they often panic or give up. Bringing it up for others will make it clearer if they lack the intuition to figure things out on their own :o
Nanami Touko
Uh... what? Celice, he asked about the statsheet, not the glowing effect. I answered about the statsheet. Not the glowing effect. What're you going on about...?
Celice
If he wants to edit the background image for the statsheet, and no one explains to him that animated effect, he's going to wonder where why there's a glowing artifact on his statsheet, and how to change it. If he reads the thread, he'll know what that artifact is, and why he didn't see it when editing the image.
