1. Round Robin*

2. All Sets are Bo5 Games**

3. Any Feature/Glitch/Strategy that makes the game effectively unplayable for a longer period of time is banned***

4. This tournament will last 7 weeks (Deadline: January 25th 2012)

*Round Robin: a player faces every other player exactly one time, the player with the best statistic wins

**Bo5 Games: a player needs to win 3 out of 5 Games to win a Set

**This includes but is not limited to Meta Knight's Infinite Cape Glitch. Note that recovering on the ledge until there is an opening does not fall under this rule

-Game Rules-

1. 3 Stocks

2. 10 Minute Time Limit

3. Items set to Off and None

4. The winner will be declared by the game in all situations

4.1. Exception: In case of a stock tie, the game counts as a Draw and Sudden Death will not be played

-Set Procedure-

1. Each player selects one Stage from the Legal Stage List.

2. Which of the two Stages will be used will be decided by the game.

3. Repeat the above steps for all matches.

Hmm looks like there isn't as much interest this time around... in case we don't get an eight player within the next 3 or so days, I would propose that we simply do a Round Robin this time around.

Is anyone opposed to that?

That actually sounds pretty cool, more matches for more people, so I'd be up for it. Problem would of course be sustained interest required, though I don't know how much of that is a problem in the SF community.

If people actually are active for a while, it'd be over in a week.

Just contact everyone and play everyone and you'd be done, no need to set up "rounds", although some deadlines probably could be given. (like, two matches before x, then two matches before x, then the last match on some day) If you do more matches, you're faster and don't have to stress the deadline. It just requires everyone is available and active.

With six people, it'd be over faster and not unfair in any way.

Yeah, and I guess DE is preferred in either case. Less matches to take care of, more time, and clearer results. (people, if you want to play a lot, hook up with your local smash scene instead of some tryhard wifi tournaments lol)

In either case, I'm not available during any weekends for the next two weeks. A time during either of the Mondays can be arranged, though. I have a sliding schedule during mondays (u mad when I have to wake at 1 pm if I want?).

As stated, this tournament will last 6 weeks at most, so that's one match per week with another week as buffer in case anything comes up.

When reporting results, please include which characters were used as well.

No, it's simply a draw. And yes, this means that if each player won 2 games and the remaining one was a draw, the whole set would be counted as a draw as well.

I'm not really expecting this to happen though, seeing as the timer is 10 minutes.
