fuzz94
So I'm new to hacking and I want to change character classes. When i do that they have the generic palette instead of theirs. How do I make it so the person still has their own palette even if they are a different class?
Chocolate Kitty
Depends on what GBA FE you're hacking. If FE6/7, the answer lies within the character editor and the palette reference modules. If FE8, it's in the palette editors, both part 1 and part 2, and the palette reference modules.
fuzz94
Its in FE8. What exactly do I do to get the palette the work?
Chocolate Kitty
Exhibit A: Exhibit B: Exhibit C: Go to the offset in a hex editor, edit palette, profit...!
fuzz94
So if I change the base class in that module the palette will work for the class I change it to?
Chocolate Kitty
Exactly, this is correct.
