FionordeQuester Posted March 1, 2012 Share Posted March 1, 2012 Hey all, this is Fionordequester starting a let's play of the very first game in the series! In this Let's Play, I aim to do the following... 1) Get the good ending (Princess Gwaelin is rescued). 2) Play through the game as quickly and efficiently as possible while not taking stupid risks. This includes exploiting the "Infinite Gold Glitch" (as I like to call it) to cut down on the amount of grinding I have to do getting up to Level 13. 3) Explain the aspects of the game's mechanics that are most relevant to this playthrough. For the rest of the game mechanics, I'll provide a link to Ryan8Bit's "Formula Guide" on Gamefaqs. 4) Do my best to provide entertaining commentary the whole way through without coming off like I'm trying too hard to be funny or anything like that (I know that can be annoying). And for those who don't like my commentary... 5) I'll upload non-narrated and non-edited versions of my videos along with my ones with commentary and editing, so that way you can just hear the game audio and get the true, unfiltered "experience", so to speak. 6) I will be playing both the NES and GBC version, to show the differences between the two. I'm especially looking forward to showing off a way of powering up in the GBC version that's even MORE cheap than the "Infinite Gold Glitch" in the NES version, as hard as that may be to believe. 7) Most of the footage I have was recorded in large 30 minute to 2 hour chunks, as I tried to adhere to statement 2. This means I would record and play while I had time, end the recording but leave the game on when I went somewhere else, then start up the recording and pick up where I left off when I returned. Of course, I also rerecorded segments where I felt as though I used a sub-par strategy so that the playthrough would be as good of a walkthrough as possible.
