Rather than searching up on google or bing or something, i thought i'd at least try the opinions of Serenes.

Lately, ive been lacking in good music and i was hoping i could get some suggestions.

to help generalize the search, these are the bands ive been listening to the most:

Thousand Foot Krutch

Red

Rise Against

Breaking Benjamen

Three Days Grace

I just really need to listen to some good songs before i have to listen to party rock for the thousandth freaking time

this can also be a discussion of what has happened to music these days.

I've got some suggestions for you:

Electrelane

Alpine

Mum

Sigur Ros

Four Tet

Floating Points

Bonobo

Emiliana Torrini

NZCA/LINES

PLVS VLTRA

I'd also suggest Joanna Newsom 'cause we need more J. New fans out there, but you may not like how she sounds in her earlier works, and it'd be a shame to just listen to Have One On Me and Ys.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my suggestions!

If you don't mind Japanese bands, I've been getting into [One OK Rock] lately.

For Western bands, some pretty famous ones you might like are Foo Fighters or Chevelle. Also I would recommend Skillet and Alter Bridge bases on the bands you provided.

It's not quite the same as the genre you've listed dudes from, but Arctic Monkeys are a personal favorite modern rock/"alternative" band, particularly their first and second albums.

More pure electronica than lmfao, but I'm projecting

enough I may as well go ahead and recommend them.

I second Foo Fighters. You might like them.

My favorite band, The Dear Hunter, might not be what you're lookng for, but they do a lot of different stuff. Especially The Color Spectrum, which is supposed to go from sort of grungy music to calm, soothing tunes. You might like the Black songs.
