Thor was clearly the second best in the final battle of that movie. Although Iron Man was the guy who did a bunch of cool shit no one else could, so it's a real toss up to me. Thor Odinson Posted September 12, 2012 Share Posted September 12, 2012 (edited) If Thor didn't hold back I don't think Tony actually has a chance in a 1-on-1 Thor was already crushing his armour with his bare hands in that one scene and 400% Tony only blasted him back a bit and there wasn't even so much a scratch on him In the comicverse he holds back his strength when fighting mortals, so I'd think he does the same here. I'd see the argument for Tony over Thor for getting rid of that nuke and therefore making an incredibly important contribution to the saving of New York, but definitely not in a 1-on-1 fight. That's cause Thor can't get scratched. In my opinion Thor's outward appearance is always the same whether at 5% "Power"(For lack of a better word) or 100% And the captain just kinda calmed everyone down. On one spectrum you have the writers depowering Thor way too much in Hulk vs Thor, but in the mainstream comics continuity (Earth-616) Stan Lee actually said that Thor was made to top Hulk, and since Hulk is the strongest human ever, he made a god. MCU is debatable both ways, and I'm not very familiar with the other alternate universes yet.
