It seems Shouzou Kaga really wanted to put fatigue in this game. Perfect fuel to kill tiny cowards nontheless. MEANWHILE AT OBJECTIVE ALPHA Must be this obese to be one of his lieutenants it seems. Eugen learns that the same trick doesn't work twice. Poor guy. I hold that this is probably the best conversation in the game. The translation patch makes a certain other one later almost as good, though. gg eugen i don't know maybe he wasn't happy that you threatened his entire family again gee i wonder why Note: split armies are divided like FE5. I hate it. The only change from this was Bartz was switched from this squad to the north squad, with Plum taking his place. NEW MECHANIC: TOWERS Towers extend the range of the unit sitting on top of them by 1. Otherwise, they basically function like forts. This bigass motherfucker will teach your dudes Arena Fighter, which makes you better at fighting in the Arena. It's ...not great. Average Joe is 100% behind the liberation. I don't think literally anybody likes Kodder. Conveniently, fliers have no problems perching on top of Walls and other like terrain. there's a dude in this tank! (HINT: YOU RECRUIT HIM WITH BARTZ) Let's get on that Arena now! You get some vague stats about your opponent before you begin. Level, class, cost, prize, you can read. Accept, and you get to see their stat screen! This is the point where you go "aw fuck." You'll see why later! Also this isn't pussy shit like the FE4 arena. People die, man. (he's lying) NEW DOOD: THOMAS he rides in a tank He's pretty shit, honestly. High DEF, though. Sickeningly high. The best part is every conversation until now has referred to him as THE HUNTER OF LOT or LOT'S HUNTER or some permutation. Look at his title. but he does ride in a tank he rides in a tank This is the part where you go "aw, fuck." Enemies in the Arena can spawn with just about any generic (read: not-unique) weapon they want. Including shit like this. You can bring your own weapons into the Arena, though. \o/ Ronan can fight! this is my sasha Fear the Gatling Bow. The Gatling Bow is massive bullshit. I think you can even double with it, but it weighs roughly a billion. Enemies in the Arena can also spawn with shields. The shields break, fortunately, but it still sucks. Sasha has her way with the boss. I did forget to take a picture of his weapon: SWORDBREAKER. Swordbreaker is shit and only has 8 (!) uses, but if it hits an enemy with a sword equipped it, uh, breaks that sword. Sasha got around this with Raffin's Needle Spear. roger bit late dude Roger's tactics are not terribly refined. That or he wants his troops to die. Hell, maybe he only arrived "coincidentally" late! yesssssssssss NEW DOOD: ROGER Remember how, two posts above, Dio made some mention of Life or Death being "pretty neat"? It's Wrath, except way better. Roger gets it. He's on a horse. Now that we're done waiting for Roger's slow ass to show up, we can end the map and leave this poor tanker alive. Great, somewhat lightweight 1-2 range spear with plenty of power and durability. Your mounted units will love it. Aside of the fairly unique Repair staves, you can buy these more mundane hammers to repair weapons you want to build criticals on. The early Iron Sword and Lance with a starting +1 critical is a nice idea. Maerhen/Marchen is going to be the punchline of many jokes for a while. Unlike Integrity, I really like Holmes because he's a complete dick to almost everyone. Shigen is the broest. Then there's Xeno the tag-along kid. Good pirates is a notion that doesn't exist for Katri. "Is it still kidnapping if we get them drunk first?" Xeno is too nice to be around Holmes. d'aww D: ;~; Even abandonned, Katri knows how to stay stylish. Yuni's just jealous. "Now get back in the kitchen and get me my dinner, slave!" Taken out of context, this is rather awkward. Holmes sure has eyes for jewelry. Jerks don't get to see the lady's lovely jewels. Come on, not the time to be amnesiac. Unless it's treasure, Holmes will have none of her shit. This could be interesting if... She would like her lord bishop in an advanced state of decay. Shigen starts the next conversation with this. public beta test patch \o/ Who knew the sweet little Katri was such a talented necromancer? Now Shigen wishes he could summon the dead. If it doesn't work the first time, do it unil you exhaust yourself. Maerhen is by far the game's biggest chew toy. Runan had the idea of a sunset dinner with Holmesy-poo. yeah this chapter actually starts at some point NEW DUDE : ☆Katri Turns out the staff had infinite uses until now or something. Pretty much like Enteh but she doesn't have to wait until level 30 to summon shit. NEW DUDE : Yuni Pathetic fighter with a non-existant strength growth, but she's fairly useful to have around for looting. NEW DUDE : Xeno Another of them "put efforts, reap massive growths" kind of guys. Funnily enough, even the weakest zombie will be faster than most generic human enemies because their weapon doesn't weigh a damn thing. These guys are a goldmine of experience despite those hilarious stats. BOSH, door's open. Back off, ugly. "Stop sparkling too." This can't be good. "Didn't we try to get a massive hammer from that place?" Good old family heirlooms. Perfect to identify mysterious strangers! Did we mention anything about a dragon? Suddenly FUS RO DAH Bilingual bonus : Hewolong (actually huo long) is Chinese for Fire Dragon. This is what happened to Zappa after Guilty Gear. Help me, my children. Maerhen is little more than a human version of Bowser. Now that his strength is already ridiculous, let's raise his other stats! Never let that 8 movement go to waste anymore! Of course, the only 1-2 range sword has to be a direct ripoff from the Akaneia series. Finally some defense. Hey gov'na, I'm up to my bloody neck in it over here! Average, crap, good. Runan is just going to take all the experience he can get. At this point I'm only using Runan and Vega. Runan because he needs the experience fast, Vega because Integrity doesn't like him. :D Unlike other shields, this one has iinfinite uses. Thunder happens to be used by some fairly annoying enemies later too. Man I love those Mummies. Been a while since he got Skill... Considering his growths are close to FE6 Marcus, this is definitely a keeper. Well at least our Runan isn't going to be a liability. Who's going to be the lucky knight... It's not a capture if it's a homie's shack. Hewolong, Runan. Meet our lovely reptilian firebreather! Already at the stage of denial eh? The smell of burnt corpses definitely isn't from a dream. She's jailbait. Shit, we need to make a cake fast. At least we won't need a match for the candles! Ah Holmes, if it could be that simple. Turns out if someone takes the bracelet, he or she can control the person in dragon form as he or she sees fit. Eugen is really uncomfortable around pirates. Even the most unimportant characters get screen time in this LP. Isn't he such a nice guy? A pirate fighting his own kin. Now who doesn't like DOSH An army with its own group of thieves looking for exotic loot and gold, now that's nice to have around. Route split time! Essentially you can transfer characters, items and gold between Runan's and Holmes' teams. Events happen for certain characters in some of the routes too. There's three of such route splits through the game. Most of the gold also goes for Holmes. Average to somewhat above average for this game's standards and his promotion gains are quite good. You haven't seen anything yet. Resistance is also hard to come across on enemies since few of them get Magic (res is magic/2). And just to give it even more oomph, light magic is effective against monsters. Golems in particular have a ton of HP and defense but should be easily slain by Starlight. She also has access to another personal tome later. Also funnily enough Mage Knights have no magic growth. look at that fatass The southern mercenaries are pretty varied in classes and weapons, but this dude is the deadliest. He promotes to a General but has a movement growth which can be potentially abused. Now starts the events to recruit Mintz and Rennie. Sharon accused us of being thieves now? 10k gold. The four gold bags were needed for that. Kinda also why I sent all of our dosh to Holmes. This is surely a nice place for a young girl to stop.
