47948201
Seriously, we have Nosferatank, Literal Tank, Rally Bot, Proc Skill+Galeforce Sweeper, and a few ridiculous trollsome (Counter+Miracle+Longbow, failing attack to let the partner deal damage) What else (that's GOOD and REASONABLE) can we do? Like, what other strategically-valuable roles can we get these kids to fill? Or is the best macrostrategy to just homogenize our teams to be an army of Galeforce Nosferatanks? euklyd
You ought to specify what the purpose of these "good builds" are – in-game, post-game, or trolling? Also, are these just skillsets, or also including class/weapons/supports? I personally find Nosferatanking boring (and more importantly, I hate the Sorcerer design), so I generally use teams where everyone has Armsthrift and Sol and a Legendary Weapon (Helswath/Ragnell) (which should be just as un-fun as Nosferatanking, but Heroes look significantly cooler than Sorcerers, so I'm happy). For actual, concrete builds, that are sorta reasonable, I like {Aegis + Pavise + Rightful King + Sol/Aether + Limit Breaker} (which is only feasible for Chrom's family, or Ephraim/King Marth/maybe other Spotpass units). Or, for something more accessible, {Aegis + Pavise + Sol + Res+10 + Limit Breaker} on a physical unit. Also, Mire Sorcerers ({LB + Tomefaire + Armsthrift + Aggressor + [something else]}) are fun as well. If you're in a pickle, you can just Nosferatank, too. While none of these are invincible, they generally get the job done.
Donnel
Also, Mire Sorcerers ({LB + Tomefaire + Armsthrift + Aggressor + [something else]}) are fun as well. I use Astra for the 'something else' and surround the Mire Sorcerers with Solitude/Charm/Dual Support+ buff. Can replace Tomefaire with Galeforce for x2 attack. High skill means high hit and crit rate. Quick Burn+Anethema+Lucky Seven+Pass+Tantivity for Mire Sorc and rescue if you feel Lucky Seven is no longer lucky. Wrath+ Vantage+Vengeance is common. Dragonstone+ with Ignis Sniper+RK+Lethality Lancefaire+Galeforce+Armsthrift+LB+Iote's Shield and Luna Spear The above are the build I used. One interesting pattern will be chain rescue with Olivia, to snipe out the commander, but need allot of Sage, Falcon Knight, Bride and War Monk/Cleric, couple with deliverer/movement+
47948201
What I guess I mean is, what distinct roles can we have on our team, made with skills and the like? We have units that are good at walling(Vantage or Pavise/Aegis) or screen clearing(Most Proc skills) or supporting (Rally/Anathema) or I guess Mire sniping. What else can we have to de-homogenize our 10-20 person teams?
Raine
I believe that there are simply some skills that are more useful than others. For example, each unit is gonna need one or two survivability skills. These would be skills such as Aegis, Pavise, Sol, or Vantage, etc... skills that could potentially save a unit during combat. Each unit is also gonna need power skills. These are skills would be Aggressor, Luna, Tomefaire, etc. And then there are simply the Metaskills which typically supersede the others since they're either a better skill or provide a better chance of winning-- these would be skills such as Aether, Counter, Lethality, Galeforce, and Rightful King, etc. Chrom and his children will always have rightful king. Galeforce pairs are simply brutal at clearing the map. Counter Miracle is a stupid build to use against the computer-- but it has its moments when countering lethality in a streetpass. While I try to be diverse with how I build my team, you'll see uniformity simply because these skills are simply better than others. Anyway, here are some examples from my team: The Supreme Grandmaster (MU) [+skill -res];; Aegis, Aggressor, Ignis, LB [Pavise], Sol The Rightful King (Chrom);; Aegis, Aether, LB [Dual Guard +], Luna, Rightful King The Rightful Prince (Inigo);; Aegis, Lethality, LB [Aggressor], Luna, Rightful King The Rightful Princess (Lucina);; Aegis, Aether, Lethality, LB [Pavise], Rightful King Double Dragon (Nah);; Armsthrift, Ignis, LB [Tomebreaker], Sol, Wyrmsbane [Lethality]Double Dragon (Morgan);; Armsthrift, Ignis, LB [swordbreaker], Sol, Wyrmsbane [Lethality] Artillery Specialist (Severa);; Armsthrift, LB, Sol, Tomebreaker, Tomefaire Artillery Specialist (Noire);; Anathema, Armsthrift, LB, Sol, Underdog Aerial Lord (Gerome);; Aggressor, Counter, Limitbreaker, Sol, Swordbreaker Lucky Bunny (Yarne);; Gamble, LB, Vantage, Wrath, Zeal [less a meta-build and more for lols when paired with Noire (his S-ranked Dual Support + honey bun~ even against characters his calibur-- crit rate reaches around a 50-50 chance... higher if he falls to 50 health... and higher if they're not his calibur. I've had a few 100% crit rates)]
