Or get outright banned for a severe offense.

What kind of 'severe offense' are we talking about? I'm not a very good 'rule reader'. I don't even know how to get a warning so I currently have 0. A lawyer MUST keep the rules after all...

Linking to porn sites or distributing ROMs, maybe?

I guess the most severe offenses are the ones that are bad/illegal/unaccepted IRL???

Dunno.

By reading the code of conduct. Which EVERYONE is supposed to do.

And the mods assume you have, so you can't use the "ignorance" card as an excuse if you happened to break a rule.

yeah! you tell him!

I think it's funny that there hasn't been a comprehensive list of rules on the first page of the Announcements board for who knows how many months now (over a year?). Long enough at least that I forgot I was waiting to see how long it would take for someone to fix that. There have been a couple of amendments since 2010, but as far as I've seen none of them have been collected into a cohesive Code of Conduct.

Oh, there's a Code of Conduct available from every page on the forum. Think you can find it?

The only reason I ever found it is because I was specifically looking for it. Somehow it's almost like they placed it specifically so you would never find it. Even in that image I posted, the code of conduct link is going to be the last thing you see.

I like the preamble to the Privacy Policy. "To make this notice easy to find, we make it available in our footer and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested."
