Custom battle spriter palette in FE8

Palettes in FE8 are quite nasty.

Since the game needs to know which palette has to be applied to which class ( due to the promotion branch ) you need to specify with a nightmare module what classes a character has, and then edit the pointer of the class you need with another module.

Example:

> Your custom class is on the unused Myrmidon (F) slot and you want to apply a palette for that battle sprite to the character in Garcia's place.

> Open the module that sets "character x class"

> Put for Garcia the "Myrmidon (F)" as the first unpromoted class (for example)

> Go in the other module

> Search for "Garcia... Fighter" which is the first unpromoted class for Garcia (as you can see it matches what you did before in the other module)

> Edit the pointer to the one of the palette you want

Done!

(obviously you need other programs to create your own palette or edit existing ones, such as FERecolor, but I'll leave it like this for now. There are plenty of good topics about those tools)
