EldinnerPlate
I really like the one with Diecks's body. The head on your most recent one looks too far back. On the bottom right one, the outline of the cloak is a little to noticeable if that makes sense. Also, try to avoid using both fe8/fe7/fe6 colors in the same splice. Agro
Might want to be careful with the way the guy's sword goes below his feet--map sprites, when displayed, will not "hang down" into the tile below them, so you want the feet to be the lowest point, basically. Haku
I like the blue haired person a lot! He looks a bit untidy above one of his eyes though. Also well done with the map sprites :D Edited December 20, 2013 by Haku

deranger
For mug splicing in general, when you splice pieces together, you need to adjust the shading accordingly. In this case, that means shading when you put a new hair or headband on someone's head.
Nine - IX
For mug splicing in general, when you splice pieces together, you need to adjust the shading accordingly. In this case, that means shading when you put a new hair or headband on someone's head. Is there a tutorial for this somewhere? I'm particularly bad at shading... deranger
Shoulder pad hat wouldn't be shaded like that. It looks like you did colour (or maybe just contrast) reductions in the hair and robe, which makes them look flat.
Nine - IX
It's a hue change and recolor, how would you advise I go about fixing the flatness? :o edit: and the hat? and strangely enough they do seem to pop a lot more on a darker background...hmm Edited January 20, 2014 by Nine - IX
deranger
You never replaced two shades with one right? More contrast can be achieved by changing the values of the red, green, and blue values that go into your colour. The helmet's round like bandanas or some other helmets, reference those. Fateborn
The one big thing that came to me is that the ponytail (Is that right?) is too light shaded, reference from the merchant dude in FE7 since they have similar appearance. See the difference between two? Now, you don't need to copy his hair, just make it feel darker on its own. (Considering the merchant's hair is curly and your isn't) Also... The front area of his fore hair is too light in an area. In case you can't see it. I don't really see another problem that a novice such as myself could find. I'll leave that to an expert.
