VincentASM Posted January 9, 2008 Share Posted January 9, 2008 I was kind of tired seeing people repeating the myth about Mantle's damage reduction, so I thought I'd put some hacking to good use. The myth: Mantle reduces damage to 1/9, and then factors in damage/resistance. The truth: Mantle negates all damage (as far as can be seen) ala FE10. Test Exhibit A - Boyd has 4 Defence and Iron Axe's Might was changed to 80. Exhibit B - Boyd has Mantle. Exhibit C - Enemy Fighters would do around 80 damage, after factoring Boyd's defence. So their Attack is around 84. Exhibit D - Boyd takes no damage. Conclusion Myth calculation: Taken damage = 84 / 9 - 4 = 5.33 --- Not seen True calculation: Taken damage = 0 --- This one Edit Why is my Photobucket dead?
