Kao
Yeah. Dasit. Because random reclass runs are so popular right now. So yeah. AND STUFF Let's get started I guess. I'll be playing on Difficult mode, and will eventually get to both Ephraim/Erika modes, but eventually. Key word there. Eventually. (Entire project in a nutshell more like... ) (Well, more like bad.) Mostly, I'm just going to assume you know FE8's plot. If not, I'll reccomend some other, better done LPs later. Just not right now. BTW the script text is from the main site if there's no screenshot with the story on it. For some 800 Years, a quiet peace reigned in the absence of the terrible darkness. The Sacred Stones have been passed from generation to generation. Nations have been built around their power and their legacy. The Kingdom of Renais, ruled by Fado, the peerless Warrior King. The Kingdom of Frelia, ruled by Hayden, the venerable Sage King. The Kingdom of Jehanna, ruled by Ismaire, Queen of the White Dunes. The theocracy of Rausten, ruled by Mansel, The Divine Emperor. The Grado Empire, ruled by Vigarde, the stalwart Silent Emperor. These five countries house the power of the Sacred Stones. The are joined by the emerging mercantile republic of Carcino. In times of peace, tales of the past conflict has drifted into legend, and memories of the ancient dark arts have all but evaporated. It is now the year 803… In an instant, the whole of Magvel is threatened by an unexpected atrocity. The Grado Empire, the largest of the Sacred Stones nations, has invaded the kingdom of Renais under orders from Emperor Vigarde. A longtime ally of Grado, Renais is caught off guard, unable to mount any resistance. Grado’s forces move quickly, seizing one territory after another. Compounding kind Fado’s worries, his son, Prince Ephraim, has gone missing. Grado’s momentum carries its armies to the gates of Castle Renais itself. Renais will fall… It is inevitable. :“Your Majesty, I bear bad news. The castle gate has been breached. Emperor Vigarde’s forces are within the castle walls.” :“The garrison has fallen. We’ve lost contact with Prince Ephraim and can expect no aid from his men. Your majesty, what are we to do?” ETC ETC ETC STORY HAPPENS. (shutupthatwastotallyagoodwaytomovealongtheplot) And then gameplay. Erika's a mercenary, and I don't know why she has so much stuff. And Seth's a Great Lord (Erika). Yeah. Dunno why he gave away his (her?) Rapier to someone who can't use it though. So, anyways, I suck. Quite a bit actually. But I got to the boss. (This level didn't help any.) And I beat him. My prize? An...okay level. Criticism is appreciated. I guess. I still think I might go through with the project all the way to the end even if it dies for the sake of completion. Maybe. Maaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyybee.

Kao
Did you use camtech's reclasser tool or is this a custom run? Yeah, I used Camtech's. Why? Is there something wrong with it and FE8? Edited October 7, 2014 by Kao
Klokinator
No, just wondering. Iunno if he ever finished the basic FE8 support or if things still break. Also, use imgur for your LP. Nobody wants to expand every pic manually. Edited October 7, 2014 by Klokinator
Kao
Meh. Slightly better. I still suck at this game. And I'm sure they'll be hard to beat. Also, I love how it shows a 1% crit chance. 101% much? : That man had 101% crit chance on the mercenary. That poor mercenary. Player phase: I move Eirika to the left to provoke the Fighers, and Seth right to deal with reinforcements. After a miss, I move Eirika onto the fort and... This can't be good. I suck at this game. Some trial and error later, I was able to take 11 points of damage, but successfully move onto the fort and survive to the next turn. And you know what happens on the next turn... That's right, it's Dart and Ross Franz and Gilliam. Apparently, Forde's class choices(if I'm remembering right) led to him taking up an apprenticeship under Gillam, the great Pirate lord. After moving some units around, I decide to just leave Seth there. Reinforcements come, but Eirika Seth has it covered. A Fighter attacks Franz, Moving units around, and then stuff happens. Gilliam hits a soldier. (Don't worry, he doubled.) Franz is attacked again, and he could do better. Now that all the enemies are disposed of, I make my way to Breguet, And get this. Meeeeeehhhhhh. After a bit of errors and close calls, I...regret doing difficult mode. Stay mediocre for me Franz. Next Time: We get a third pirate... that freezes the game when used. I'll deal with it though. Kao
So I decided not to use Molder. Sue me. justkiddingpleasedontactuallysuemeihavenothingofinteresttoyouonlyacrappyarsecomputerthatiamnowusingtoupdatesopleasedonttakethatliterallykthxbai *Discalimer: Chapter 2's data was lost after some acident happened. As in I forgot to transfer all the screenshots to a folder. As such, I had to replay it from scratch, so any and all levels will not be kept. Then again, I don't think I leveled in this run. Meh.* I lost the title card, so I did it all in paint. Isn't it just gorgeous? This is Moulder. I can't really use him because Staff is in the position where bows are, and since pirates can't use bows, the game doesn't know what to think and freezes. No ear-bleed sound though. Vanessa's okay though. And she comes with Recover. So I've been waiting for this when I got a merc Eirika. Yes you are, Erina. Yes you are. And we're supposed to save Ross, but He can handle himself. Fun fact: In the lost run, he died. So that was a thing. He gains HP from the fort And then the git wastes a vulnerary on himself. But actually, it's okay since he took another 10 hit from the brigand and has his revenge, but that's later. And here's his father. Stuff happens, I try and get Erina over to Ross using Eirika Seth and Vanessa. Sent Seth to the village and gave Vanessa Erina and made some pretty terrible choices. These actually aren't the same picture. They're the two brigands attacking and I SSed at just the right time. Oops. Uhhhhhhhhhh Later: And then Seth sweeped up. Bonus: Pirates. Yeah. Axes. They're stupid. Yeah. I was imagining that one track "Powerful Foe" when this happened. Yes, they're the same two brigands. Don't worry though. They're gone now. Next Time: *splat* Edited October 9, 2014 by Kao
Klokinator
pmqohZv.png Staff is in the position where bows are, and since pirates can't use bows, the game doesn't know what to think and freezes. No ear-bleed sound though. You could just remove the offending rank with nightmare and then reload the chapter though...

Klokinator
I tried Nightmare. Didn't work. Meh. ...brilliant. Kao
Lucky you. Another update today. Last time, someone stole Erina's bracelet from under her nose. Now they're pursuing the culprit. Blah blah, Neimi, blach blah, Shaman, blah. So I decided to use Moulder's Devil axe which I took from him in the beginning of chap 2, and used it to smash walls. No Wall death here. Killed the Brigand with Garcia-phraim and moved people. Then Colm went *splat* on the wall and I recruited him with Neimi. I'll need that lockpick for a thie- Bollocks. *resets* Like I was saying,I'll need that lockpick for a thief I'll get later, if there even is one. (forshadowing?) : Why are you a girl? Are you okay? : Huh? Oh. I'm fine. Probably something I ate. Say, while you're here, why don't you do that magicky thingy and open up some locks for me? Or maybe just this door. I feel the urge to keep constantly running into it for some reason. : Can't you just go around? The door down there's open. : I can't. I'm just an NPC. I don't have enough intelligence to adapt to my new class and run around. Now help me pick this lock. Seriously. Aaaaannnyway. Erina takes on the brigand in the chest room. Not worth it. After moving on ahead, At least it wasn't the lockpicks. Deal with him Garcia-phraim. Spoiler: He missed. We exterminate the git next turn, And Colm takes his new form out for a spin. Literally. (Gilliam helped too.) Speaking of Gilliam, how is he? Average Gillam level. Neimi does a thing. And narrowly escapes death. In retrospect, why did I think this was a good idea? Colm finishes the job, And after nearly getting cut in half by a mercenary, gets rewarded for his (her?) bravery. Vanessa disappoints. Thus began the struggle to kill Babza. But first: I forgot about this. Eirika-Seth goes and opens the Javelin chest. You know, this one? (Image from the failed run.) This happened during the Babza fight too. Then I killed him. (I forgot what stats he gained.) Found it. Next Time: Look! It's Rausten's peg brigade! Although only 2/3 are Falcoknights. Kao
Insert some witty commentary, informative stuff, some excuse about whatever, life talk, all that crap. Some story thing. And then a preparation screen! I decided not to take Seth this time, and not to take Ross. We already have enough axes as is. I turned off Molder's animations so I could actually use him. Yay pirates. And here's Artur. Dunno why that Light Magic stat's there, but you know, I kinda don't care. I decided to reposition my units this way, with all 3 Pirates near each other just because. People do things, And I have Erina chip down this Revenant. Whoops. Just. Ugh. You need to take dodging lessons. Starting over, Garcia and Colm deal with the Revenant to the left, And Erina hides in a tree. Well that worked. Moulder kills an eyeball. And I try for a triangle attack. Guess not. I kinda want to make it a thing using Nightmare now. Again, taking those risks with Neimi. She's okay though. Artur grabs an axe for one of the pirate brothers. You know. The one that's getting attacked. You know, I'm glad SOMEONE can dodge in this army. Oh look. It's them. We'll see them later. Artur does a thing. Good job lad. Gilliam defends a bridge, Erina does a thing, Guess who cleans up? She needs the exp. You knew how to dodge during the Brigand face off. Franz is attacked. You may be okay, but you can dodge. Garcia does a thing. Franz, I take that back. Pirate #3 subs for Pirate #1. Moulder. Don't make me regret bringing you. I want to like you. I swear. Franz is even better in many ways. Neimi loves cleaning up spilt eyeball juice. Looks like has to start fighting for the roll of glass cannon soon. Colm and Garcia head for Lute. 40% hit chance. It was only 1 damage each, but still. RNG hates me. Oh. Reinforcements. I forgot about them. Take care of them you two. Questioning my tactician skills Lute? Or maybe your new profession? We finally got a thief. And that's why I needed the lockpicks. Colm doesn't have them right now, since there's no locks to pick, but she'll get them in due time. All hail the pirates. (DODGE DOOOOODGE.) Meh. Luck would've been nice so you can DODGE BETTER. At least you're not dead. Better than Vanessa. Level your Magic. Lute doesn't freeze the game, but you can't see how much damage she does. She just raises the sword, puts it away, and does it again. Call me crazy, but I don't think the Entombed suddenly lost 32 hp from nowhere. I can at least see the damage she does here. You're lucky you might be the only thief I get. Next Time: Hey look. An Erika lord. And hat man too. Edited October 11, 2014 by Kao
Kao
Stuff and things. I'm not dead. Just lazy. So, now that that's over with, I hear that there's an arena here in this town. Handy. It'll get minimal use this time around. Anyway, here's Natasha. Animations off of course so I can use her. And here comes good ol' Joshua. Move around, visit the Tethys house, all that. After moving, of course there's our other good friend, random nameless bandit which has a mug and higher stats for some reason. Combat happens (Colm crits) and A couple of 3 stat levels. Natasha gets some action, i.e getting shot in the face. Artur actually does good. I move Colm to lure out Joshua and then... Hit by a 33%, Thus begins the hell. (Garcia did okay though.) This archer. Just. Josh and this Archer caused so much hell for me. Death Montage I guess. There were more, but I lost them. :/ Garcia's levels by the way. These are seriously all different screenshots. I blame the RNG. I even had to restart the chapter to get a more favorable position. And I brought Franz this time. Here's his level BTW. And here's the man that caused me so much hell this chapter. He's actually pretty nice though. I finally have a cav too. At this point, I don't even really remember how it played out. I saved the villages, killed some things, spent minuscule time at the arena. He's some things that I was able to piece together in a random order, no commentary. Sorry if this chapter seemed a little...meh to you. I'll make up for it in the next chapter. In the meantime, have all the Colm/Lute levels that were lost to Joshua and random chapter 5A archer's kills. And a Garcia level for good measure. SO YEAH. THAT'S A THING. Lacklustre chapter commentary is stupid. Next Time: And who's this? Forde maybe? (forshadowing?) You'll find out soon. In the meantime, I'll just edit a few little things in Nightmare. Like giving the pirates a tri attack. Changed all promotion items (exluding Ocean Seal) to work like Master Seals. Just so ya know. Kao
*Comment* Well the little cornerbox telling you where it is says it's Renvall. Must be Frelia. By the way, the mage was Ephraim. Justsoyakno. Forde became a Mountain Thief, forcing his brother into the Sea Thief life. "I didn't choose the pirate life. Gilliam just taught me the ways." - Franz Someone suited to a OHKO type of style made common double attacker class? This can't be that bad. And Healbot 2.3. Weapon ranks. I'll have to fix Forde and Kyle's ranks later. For now, Let's deprive Healbot from all his items except a Heal stick and Heal juice. Soldiers attack, but Kyle's okay. Also RNG. Healbot does a thing, Kyle kills a guy. And -phraim cleans up. Forde helps the archer's lack of iron in his diet, and the turn ends. *Not pictured, Merc/Fighter moving down.* Heated battle between two swordsmen, Which is abruptly stopped by a fireball to the face. He doesn't get paid enough for this. *mercenary joke* Brigands > Fighters When did this happen again? Oh right. Killed a Knight. Got a key, dropped an elixir. Unimpressive fights. Blah blah blah, we take time out of our day to kill this Fighter and Mage in the chest room, And a non- level. Honestly though, every stat counts. Yeah. Orson holds onto Reginleif while the chests are pillaged. Combat happens, (If this is combat) That's not a very Kyle-esk level. Keep it up and you'll be fit to be ruler in no time. Brute strength is key. And completely and utterly useless Healbot level. (Might as well not gain any stats at all...) Yay axes. Might as well use the ice tome. I mean, it did come free. Meatshield! The two mages just stand there, whilst the melee fighters go right. Combat. Well... Never happened. Kyle, Nino-phraim, switch. Did a thing. Time-skip. Needs more Magic. I'm not feeling it Kyle. Because spear to the body pics are obligatory. Ooh. 0 Damage. Scary. Well, it's magic. Time to pelt him with magic attacks! *tink* No damage. *A Fire broke!* That was smart. R.I.P. Physic staff. Set him up, to knock him down! Yes. You only wish you could be . Turn count BTW. Welp, no next time preview, but there is: BONUS: Fellowship of the sea. TRIANGLE ATTACK GO!
