Yeah, sadly. You can hit the shift/focus key to speed them up though.

Kaguya has like 5 of those Final Spells but at least they don't last 99 seconds

im not sure if ill give it another go for the draft, i was so nervous and focused on that last boss i was definitely sweating LOL. I think I might try the next game.

Most annoying of hourai elixir is not matter how many lives you still had after kicking eirin's ass, if you fail to capture that last spell, it wont be considered 1cc. -A-

I'm pretty sure almost everyone in the entire Touhou community wouldn't care about whether Hourai Elixir is captured or not for it to be considered a 1cc. And by definition of 1cc, the game is still cleared (with Game Clear Bonus and all) and done without Continues.

Unless you're talking about unlocking Extra Mode, in which case it's based on whether you 1cc'd Eirin route or Kaguya route, regardless of Last Spells being captured.

Guess I'll go for kaguya, but kaguya's hard is kinda ridiculous x_x

Going Eirin route will never net you the good ending; however, beating Eirin (no matter whether you capture her Last Word or not) will at least net you the Normal End and still be considered a 1cc by the game (although the message at the end tells you to try beating the game without using continues, I believe. That's because you can still get the Normal End even if you used continues). Only running out of time on Eirin's route or getting a Game Over on Kaguya's route will give you the Bad End.

If you want a shot at the Good End, you'll have to choose the Kaguya route. If you manage to beat some of her Last Words, the Kaguya route is also vastly better for your score.
