If you swap easy MoF with normal MoF I bet people would still say that the new easy MoF is harder.

I'm fairly sure it's more to do with average skill level when you're playing easy mode and how the rest of the MoF easy mode is really really easy in comparison. I see the two MoF spells as about the same difficulty.

I would say that a lot of this is really really playstyle dependent. For instance I can usually capture Hard Scarlet Gensokyo as long as it doesn't wall me, but I've never ever actually captured Mountain of Faith or any of it's variants regardless of difficulty. Anecdotal evidence is anecdotal, but surely I'm not the only person that notices this.

EDIT: (Stupid typo is stupid. Sengoku Gensokyo is an actual game, by the way, it's kinda boring though, imo. )

a lot of difficulty related stuff will end up depending on the individual, no doubt

honestly when i first got to MoF normal my first thought was

"easier my ass"
