DeathChaos25
Is it possible to add characters to your roster? In my latest playthrough I didn't unlock Say'ri, I accentually avoided her and later on I didnt even notice she wasn't on my roster since she is still in all the cutscenes. So now when I've finished the game and unlocked the mission with her brother I then noticed I didnt unlock her. Could I just unlock marth and edit its values to make him Say'ri? You can simply recruit a logbook Avatar, and through save/ram hacking, change him/her into Say'RI.
robotortoise
Just an FYI, I found a bunch of text that was different in the demo than in the final revision. I also found a few unused unit names, a few of which have been listed on the unused content page here before.
DeathChaos25
Interesting, I never paid much attention to the unused labels, didn't catch the Bella one.
DeathChaos25
So I was doing some digging through the file that references the sound files, and noticed that the game references 4 voice sets for both MUs, now I know it was this way in the JPN version, so I set out to test this. As expected, in English, there is nothing tied to the 4th voice set, but in Japanese, this 4th voice set is the same as the 3rd voice set, possibly has to do with how they where reordered in the English release? Espinosa
Is it possible to prevent the red enemies from appearing on the world map with a simple edit of some sort? They're giving me a huge headache on my current playthrough, since I can't fight them to make them go away (LTC).
Froyo
Is it possible to unlock the children's paralogues without actually getting their mother's married? If so, could someone help me do it? Like, editing the paralogue's requirements, something similar was done with Shadow Dragon, though I know the comparison isn't so good xD Also, my intentions for such a thing would be a S-Support Removal patch, since I didn't want to get caught up in the shipping issue, it makes me... Confused, and decision making is not my thing. The main thing with it, would (obviously) be the lack of child characters other than Lucina (Since Chrom get's married to nameless grill) and that is kinda problematic. I dunno a few things though, hair color? Wpuld they get the same ones they get on The Future Past when their parents aren't married? For modifiers, I assume it's go like Maiden!Lucina? That is, the parent's Modifiers +1 right? Edited February 13, 2016 by FrozenDragon150

blyegg
Is it possible as of yet to edit portraits? e: also the opening movie? Edited February 16, 2016 by Blyvern
robotortoise
...yes and no. It's easy to replace the opening movie with another .moflex file, and .moflex files can be made from an .avi file, but we don't have the raw source files, of course, so we couldn't make the title screen movie have Lissa instead of Chrom or something. As far as I know, .ctpk files, (portrait files) aren't able to be edited. Hell, most of the time I can't even get them to dump properly in Fire Emblem Archive Tool! blyegg
Well, that sucks for portraits, however I'm still interested in editing the OP video just for fun. So two questions: How exactly do I convert .avi to moflex? [spoiler=2nd question] Also, how would I go about replacing it? which ones of these would i replace? or would i delete all but one file and replace that? E: I"M NOT SMART I DIDNT REALIZE ONE OF THEM SAID MOVIEOP.moflex IGNORE THE 2ND QUESTION Edited February 16, 2016 by Blyvern
DeathChaos25
The op is the only video that needs to be replaced really, every other video can be left intact because they're called from within the script files, so you can just change what video the game calls. robotortoise
You know, it's very bizarre. I can find references to the movies, but they're not for any internal names. They're the names the game gives the movie in the Theater. For example: MOVIE Future Chrom Yet there is no list of what movie corresponds to each moflex file, which I find very odd. The music list, for instance, has a .bin file called "ユニットビュアー" that lists all of the music names and which stream corresponds to each. There is nothing of the sort for the movies, as far as I can tell. If there is, it's not listed in the "m/E/" folder. I checked many .bin files, too, and I couldn't find anything that listed the movie names. I found the graphics for the movie names in ui/movierecall_E, but the data listing which movie is which wasn't there. Anyone got any ideas? The game can't just know what "Chrom's Future" means. It has to figure out the Moflex file name somewhere! Maybe this data would be in the ExeFS... EDIT: Yeah, it turns out it's in the ExeFS, at least for the Demo. Let me dump the ExeFS for the final and see if it's the same there. I assume so. Edited February 16, 2016 by robotortoise

Froyo
Does that mean we can make something like an Abridged Fire Emblem Awakening, replacing all the script with funny quips and such xD? By the way, since I haven't really made any progress, I'm gonna try ram hacking, maybe there's a flag that indicates a character is married? Has anyone seen such thing on the character blocks? DeathChaos25
I think character blocks within the RAM where mapped on the first few pages, also, from what I recall, there's no "Married" Flag, just a pointer in the block that tells the game who this character is married to. robotortoise
Yeah, I found subtitles before. I'm curious about the movies themselves. It seems not all of them are loaded by the game script. Sumia's, for instance, which is "Lovebirds", is called as MID_003_MOVIE1: $t1$Wm???|3$w0|$Ws???|$Wa\$k but that doesn't actually...well, call anything. Movie05.moflex is the moflex file, and it's not even refrenced in the exefs. The only movies that are refrenced in the exefs are the intro (MovieOP.moflex) and the ending "Chrom, we have to do something!" cutscene (MovieOP.moflex). I think the game may just play the movies based on the number appended to them, or something, because there aren't any direct references to the moflex files as far as I can tell. It's...weird. Froyo
Well, from what I can tell, there are no changes on Chrom's character block (currently block 1) when he achieves S-Support with characters, only thing that changes is his support block to indicate that he achieved S support with that character (in this case, Sumia) No clue on whether or not there are changes when he marries village girl

robotortoise
There's a reference to it in scripts/003.cmb. Oh, huh! Good catch. Maybe all of the movies are called in the cmb files. That still leaves the question of why they're also called in the .bin files, then.
fairie2002
I was wondering if it was possible to add/recruit characters with the save editor. Awakening was my first Fire Emblem game and I completely missed recruiting Gaius and Tharja because I didn't realize how to and I don't want to restart my eleven hour file to get them.
