"Geoffrey" could be derived into "Joffrey" or "Jeffrey," with "Jeffrey" being more common nowadays. I guess it depends on which vowel someone wants to make silent.

I prefer the "Joffrey" pronunciation. It just sounds better to me.

How about no!

That dudes name is Geoffrey (Jeffrey). Geoff is never pronounced "Joff" these days. Its Jeff.

Joffrey makes me think Game of Thrones...and that character is a bratty spoiled inbred prince. Geoffery in FE is a noble, but he's not a brat and I highly doubt he's the result of incest.

So I prefer making the O silent...

Quoted myself cause...yeah.

FE Geoffrey and that guy are two entirely different things...

I pronounce Geoffrey as Joffrey because it's what the narrator says and it's how the katakana is pronounced (Jofure) ~o3o~

For Dheginsea I pronounce it as Deh-gin-see-ah, though I have no idea if that's right ~o3o~

Tbh I couldn't remember how the narrator pronounced it since it's been a couple of years since I last played RD ~o3o~

Oh, also, I do Idoun as... Ai-dohn. Micaiah as Mick-ai-uh. Lon'qu as Lawn-koo. Dheginsea as Dayg-in-see-uh. Nergal as Nurg-all.

oh and Geoffrey is spelled weird. Why would you have it spelled that way if you're not gonna pronounce is Gee-yoff-ree? but yeah I do it Jeffrey.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ilyana = Ill-ya-na

L'Arachel = El-ra-shell

Lon'qu = Long-koo

Kjelle = Jelly (silent K)

Lughnasadh = Lug-nah-sad

Fimbulvetr = Film-bull-vet-tr

Caeda = Kai-da

Idoun = Ai-don (kinda sounds like saying 'I don't' in a British accent and the t is silent)

I'm a shit reader, I know
