Duke of Dozel
I'm really tempted to make Asura the ultimate debuffer in one of my playthroughs. His personal skill lowers enemy stats regardless of class, but he has access to ninja. If Kamui marries him with a lancer class, he's already set with speed and defense seal (also flamboyant/breaking sky sounds fun). If there's a way to get him Dragonic Curse online, I'm all game. mimasho
ooh a question about class changes - I'm planning on getting warp for a few of my units, which means I'll have to make them all witches for a while; Let's say that I have Oboro who I've already given a few HP +5's too, and she's a level ~50 holy lancer. If I reclass her to witch, get warp, then go back to holy lancer, would she lose those +5 HPs ?? (same for boots); this is seriously the first game in which I haven't hoarded stat-boosting items, so I am pretty clueless. Also, what is a good crit build for her ? I'm currently running Astra, Flamboyant, Ogre Strike, Lifetaker, and Clone; I want to add in vantage somewhere, though I guess she doesn't really need it -I'm mainly looking for a replacement for clone, seeing as how I only use it for DLC grinding purposes anyway ~ she currently averages about ~60% crit when she activates battle, which isn't bad but probably could be higher ?? (I had a higher crit one for Hoshido run, though that was normal) aaand on another note, does anyone know approximately Velour's potential max crit rate w/ ogre strike ? I have Charlotte as her mother (with cnosistent 100% crit rate) and Velour's only at ~30%. a friend and I are planning on having a match and I want a crit team lmao

(same for boots) I'm not sure about stat boosters, but if you use boots on a unit the effect stays even if you reclass. If you wait enough turns on the Witch map, a witch in guard stance will appear carrying a warp scroll, which can be used to give warp to any unit above lv 15 promoted. This is helpful if you don't feel like reclassing.

If you go the Vantage + Awakening route and make her an enemy phase attacker then you won't activate Ogre Strike anyway. Berserker 31 SKL (13%) Class Bonus (33%) Ogre Strike (53%) Roundhouse (63%) Great Club (118%) Awakening (148%) To actually hit anything with Roundhouse and the Great Club you need Raven Strike or Flamboyance so I'd say go: Roundhouse Ogre Strike Flamboyance Sol Odd Cry or Roundhouse Ogre Strike Flamboyance Astra Odd Cry or even Roundhouse Ogre Strike Flamboyance Astra Raven Strike; You'd have an effective +70 HIT and a 30% Astra chance. Though she probably doesn't need magic counter, so I'll see ~ also screenshotting this on my tablet so I'll be able to refer back to it xD Edited October 25, 2015 by mimasho

I have a feeling this might have been asked already, but I don't think I can go through 90 pages, so apologies if this is redundant... How does Leo function as a Dark Flier? Since he's already promoted, Leo doesn't receive as much of an immediate boost from the changing to the class, so in-game the Dark Falcon Feather won't be as immediately helpful for Leo as it would be for Odin (in Nohr), or Tsukuyomi (in IK). He'll gain 1 MAG, 4 SPD and flight, but will give up 4 STR, 5 DEF, 2 HP and his Sword rank. His status as the bulky mage will be pretty much gone, but he'll be much faster, especially when he learns SPD+2 after his first level up). In-game, the hit to his bulk is severe but it's a pretty big buff as far as offense is concerned. It's up to you whether or not you think a +6 SPD boost is worth sacrificing his bulk. Personally I feel that if you want a Dark Falcon in Nohr, Odin would is the better option since he actually needs the boost and having an 8 MOV unit not named Camilla is useful early-mid game. As for PVP, Dark Falcon Leo is screwed defensively with 26 DEF and an abysmal 45 HP, but it's better than 25 SPD as a Dark Knight.

Oh, I see. I'll probably use the Dark Falcon seal on Odin, then. Thanks for the response! On a separate note, does anyone know who would make a good Revenant Knight? As in, one that could actually take advantage of its potential as a hybrid class, and alternate between Str and Mag? I know Camilla comes as a Revenant Knight, but her base Mag growth is only 25%... and I heard she functions much better in a purely physical class (i.e. Wyvern Lord). Berka and Lutz only have base Mag growths of 10% and 5% respectively, so I don't think they would fare much better either. So I looked towards Odin and Leo. But Odin has a Spd growth of 35%, and Revenant Knight only provides +5% Spd. So wouldn't he be too slow as a Revenant Knight? On the other hand, Leo looks pretty decent to me, with a whooping 70% Mag with the class's boost. He sacrifices a bit of Def, but he does have naturally higher Res growth and base, so... I was also wondering about creating a hybrid child for Revenant Knight. I figure the child could have low HP/Def with high Res. Since Mag is ranged, the child could use tomes to attack physical units and avoid counterattacks, which would account for their low defenses. Meanwhile, they could switch over to axes to attack mages, which their high Res would cover. This way, the child could exploit the low Res/Def of the physical/magical fighters. Also, since Axes have fairly high Mt, I assumed that the child didn't need crazily high Str, but would instead need a bit of Mag. So how would Elise!Soleil fit for this role? Soleil has high Str growths, so she could endure the damage taken by having a magical mother, and since Elise has high Mag growths, she could grant Soleil some of her magical prowess. Soleil also doesn't have exceptional HP/Def, so she wouldn't be too hurt by having a glass canon mother. And Elise allows Soleil to keep her 40% Res (55% with Revenant Knight's boost). Disregarding parents, Eponine seems like a more suitable Revenant Knight... however, I can't really think of a mother for her that would preserve those growths. The only hybrid mothers I can think of are Felicia and Camilla. But Felicia's Str growth is too low, and would bring Eponine's to 12.5%. Meanwhile, Camilla's Mag growth isn't very high, and would drag Eponine's to 27.5%. But if we go with a purely magical mother (i.e. Elise, Nyx), then Eponine's Str would be screwed up... But more importantly, I can't really create a hybrid child that's remarkable. All of the hybrids I've suggested so far have pretty mediocre growths (and mods), because their parents clash too much. Is there a way to make an efficient hybrid?

sylveonzoroark
Who would be a good wife for Zero? I was thinking Pieri, to fix his strength mod and give him Luna, but she might be better used elsewhere. Camilla can also fix his strength mod, but does he get anything out of the Wyvern class?
Duke of Dozel
Pairing Zero with a wyvern gives him deadly breath, which for him works very well being a bow user. However, A+ing Harold gives him the fighter class, which gives him a monster boost in growths, especially as a berserker. I'd recommend pairing him with Camilla for skills, Setsuna and Mozume for the Holy Bowman class, or a magical woman. In regards to Zero, he's actually got a pretty great STR when you look over his joining class and -2 STR mod. All he wants is classes and skills. Eponine is a whole other issue. Of course, Pieri doesn't sound so bad either, but she won't be getting much out of it. Edited November 9, 2015 by Duke of Dozel
astrophys
Regarding hybrids, its difficult to create one on a kid [or at least more difficult] because of averagings…. as such, things are going to tend to get made less extreme, such that its hard to get both high STR and high MAG simultaneously. Sure, you could mix an extreme STR mother with an extreme magic child or the reverse, but then you'd end up with very mediocre/subpar growths and mods in both stats most likely, making them kind of unimpressive. Going hybrid, if you wanted to, +MAG Kamui is probably one of the easiest options, before flaws, it offers you 45% STR and 50% Mag as personal growths before class influence, which is 40% Str and 45% Mag if you take a -LCK flaw. Nowhere near the specialists, like Kagerou, Elise, Orochi, etc., but it could you probably make it work. I mean, a 50% personal growth is equal to that of Sakura and Elise, and a 5% difference only costs 0.05 stat points per level on average, or only a 1.9 point difference on average by 20/20, which you probably won't reach to begin with. Actually, since +MAG/-LCK gives you a 45% personal magic growth, as well as +3 starting magic, you could quite conceivably spend all your time in a 0% magic growth class [why you would want to is a different question entirely], and by 20/20 [not that you would reach that high] and you'd still end up with an average of around 21.1 magic [20.2 magic at 20/18]. ----> Nohr Prince has a base 3 magic; level 1 Kamui before assets and flaws has 4 magic in that class, so they obviously have +1 in personal bases to magic automatically. ----> Magic asset gives +3 in personal bases. ----> 38 levels of 45% growth is 17.1. 1 + 3 + 17.1 = 21.1. [Note: an average; values may be higher or lower if stat-"screwed" or stat-"blessed"] Now, this is still kind of subpar… except this is for an extreme example for an assumed ending class with 0 base magic and never leveling up in a class with base magic growths [which totally ignores the fact that you start in a class, Nohr Prince(ss) that has a 10% magic growth, and will spend several levels in it until you get a seal]. And many of the hybrid classes that you would use do indeed have bases and growths: Example, Rev. Knight is 7 STR, 6 Mag, as well as 15% growths in both [55% STR, 60% mag as +MAG/-LCK Revanent Knight] As such, many classes will tend to give better results; the example I gave is a sort of lower (average) limit by level caps. Magic weapons [like Levin Sword, Shockstick, etc.] also tend to have high might,so that helps them.
ShotaLordNoctis
soo I've been looking at mitama more and loving her mods.is belka!Mitama worth considering? mods +2str +3skl 0spd +1 lck +4def 0 res AS I TYPED THIS I LOOKED IT UP AND BARELY FOUND OUT SHE CAN MARRY LUTZ FOR DEADLY BREATH orz regardless? she can get defense seal from belka also probably going to use that A+ from matoi asama will most likely be passing down sol or a breaker skill from arthur Extravagance copy cat Filler (most likely breaking sky if no sol)
Thor Odinson
Belka's offensive mods are a poor match for Mitama's, since they're so high you want to stack them even higher, rather than lowering them with belka's poor offensive mods especially considering there is lutz for the skill you want on her Elfie's usually regarded as very good for Mitama, I also think Hana might be an interesting choice in that regard (4/4 on str/spd and also because that gives the Line of Death+Extravagance combo) and their supports weren't bad either, though Hana won't really benefit herself from marrying Asama
Zog58
Despite the fact that I will not receive the game for another few months, I've still been looking into class builds on characters. What I am looking at are a couple of my builds for Nohr Hard regarding Kamui: Mamui @Darkblood (+Mag, -def/lck) Side special is Spellcaster for Breaking Sky and Tomefaire, meant to be primarily a tome user while sometimes being physical/dragon. Marry Felicia @Exorcist who can fight with tomes or heal (Servants Joy can be useful) Kanna @Darkblood, a bulky offensive dragonstone user, who inherits Sol from Felicia for more tanking. Any feedback would be great!

Minischew
I know i asked this before but i really want to know what is generally considered the best pairings in each route. I think you should be more specific. Pairings can be the "best" for different reasons. For instance, do you want the best pairings for in-game play? And even within that, for symbiotic pairings for the parents? (Or even for pairings that would help just one parent, such as Xander/Charlotte to maximize Xander's potential, rather than Charlotte's?) Or for reasonable children that can be used within the playthrough? Or do you want best pairings for optimization? Once again, would that be to optimize the parents by avoiding class overlap and giving them the best possible skills? Or would that be to minmax children? On a separate note, I remember there was a "best pairing" picture a couple of pages back. I'm too lazy to go back to find it, but if you're curious, you could probably do so.
