Richard Lionheart Gasquet
Howdy all! I've always enjoyed the screenshot LPs here, so I thought I'd make one of my own to pass the time waiting for Fates. I thought up this challenge the other day, and I'm not even sure if it's much of a challenge at all, but oh well. Here goes. Rules: 1. I will play the game with two teams. One team will be deployed only on even chapters, the other team only on odd chapters. 2. Gaiden chapters are free for alls, because I am too lazy to keep track of the switch. 3. Before each pair of chapters I will put up a poll to add a unit to each team. Only currently recruited characters can be chosen. 4. Marcus is banned because he is old and needs to save his energy to help Roy. Consider freeing him up if you are playing a non noob mode. 5. Thieves and dancer lady/spoony bard are free. 6. ENM, because I am a scrub and want a relatively stress free run. Mostly the scrub part though. Current Teams: Team Odd - Eliwood Lowen Bartre Poll Ch 15 Team Even - Hector Oswin Priscilla Poll Ch 16 Chapters: Chapter 11 Wow I am old. Let's get this party started. Just noticed it looks like Eliwood is kissing his sword. Get a room. My birthday isn't even in April. Let's hope they don't check records in Elibe. I find that hard to believe. The answer to this question is "no." Is there any other way to vanish? Roy's our Boy! Roy's our Boy! Oh... Ha! Fat chance. Let's do this. I have a feeling she was going to be playable at one point in production. Would have been cool. Death can't stop Eliwood. Believe me, I've tried. Also, can you give us that Angelic Robe? No? OK, just asking. Silly Eliwood, face rubbing is Fates only. Rejected. Marcus is right in front of you, man. Have some tact. In Russian, "Grozny" means "fearsome", "awesome" or "redoubtable". In English, it means pushover. In anticipation of this, the village recently switched to bitcoin. In one ear... ...and out the other. He's not just blind but deaf too. Meet the village's most fearsome warrior. We bring her along, but she's a bit snarky. That's yes sir you ungrateful... I bet he's really smart and handsome. Called it! I see you squinting your eyes! I'd bench you if I could. What is this? Actual gameplay? Gimme that. I like to save Rapier uses because I'm a hoarder. I need to get better at capturing battles. Dorcas the former bandit knows nothing of protecting innocents. Dorcas the former bandit proceeds to loot this innocent village of their prized possessions. I chose Lowen as my first team member because he's usually pretty solid. ...usually. I've seen worse. Kapow! Nothing beats the GBA animations, especially the crits. People blame Roy but with those genes he never stood a chance. Turn count: 36. Optimal play for the most part, could shave a few turns with RN abuse. We learn that Laus is preparing for war, so we head off in that direction. Next Chapter we will bench both Eliwood and Lowen, but don't worry, they'll be back soon enough. For better or for worse. Chapter 12 Chapter 13 I'll get around to making this post look pretty later. For now, let me know if there's anything I could do to improve this run, since it's still early going. Richard Lionheart Gasquet
OK I just got back from reaching the Wimbledon Semifinals, so I figure now's as good a time as any to continue my run. This will be the first chapter with Hector's team. Let's see how they fare, shall we? Chapter 12: Previously on Fire Emblem, we set out in search of our missing pops. We pin our hopes on Elidad visiting the popular truck stop in Santa Fe...I mean Santaruz. Always liked this title. Meanwhile, Lord Helman and Definitely Evil Person discuss our arrival. I wish it were that easy. He just presses the reset button like a sore loser. Helman's favorite FE game is Awakening. Sounds like a bad plan to me. Did I say bad plan? I meant good plan. Poor villager? Maybe you should cut back on the lard then! Ha! I appreciate the assist, Marcus. I really do. You'll get there. They'll have to dig three graves to fit you! Ha! Here we see enemies spawning from the open plains. Excellent camouflage. Dammit Dorcas if you keep following me we'll have mutton every meal. The map of Lycia says to go due north, so we go due north. Lowen gets some good advice He also gets a book that will catch fire after just one read. I send Marcus to the southern village to prevent enemies from advancing too far. He prepares some tea while she breaks out the tarot cards. Would you look at that! His fortune reads good luck. While Eliwood fumbles with the map, the boss takes matters into his own gigantic hands. Cue the A-Team theme song Those are a poor choice of words. Dunked. The judges are divided. Looking at Eliwood gives me an excuse for violence, too. Hector says hello as we finally get to work on these enemies. They cut their way to the south to prevent Marcus from being swarmed for too long. Is this Oolong? It has nice, earthy notes. Why yes, I would enjoy a tea leaf reading. What is this? A good level up? We pick up a few Iron Axes because Wolf Beil uses are wasted on these mooks. The boss cuts us off on our way to Eliwood. He hits hard but Oswin can handle it. A good defensive start. I'm already luckier than dondon! One more blow to weaken him and Hector finishes the job. Already faster than Lilina. Despite taking big blows from the boss, Oswin gives no dams about the rest of the enemies. Eliwood realizes the map has been upside down the whole time, but it's too late. I should take a trip to Vegas. Don't worry Hector, Eliwood doesn't have the strength to wound you. We also get these two. We'll see if they make the cut. Actually, this is normal mode. Sorry, that may have been me. I think I should've started on Hector's route to avoid deploying you every chapter. :( Tune in next time as we make our way to Santaruz to learn the truth of Helman's apparent betrayal. Dun dun duuuuun. And that's a wrap. I'll be closing the poll tonight most likely, and put up the next one for Chapter 14. To prevent someone like Rebecca being chosen later in the game, I'll keep the poll options to the 5 most recent recruits. Until next time! momogeek2141
...Hector procce speed 3 times in a row. I call hax
Richard Lionheart Gasquet
I've calculated the odds of Hector getting 3 speed procs in a row and it comes to about 105% (35 + 35 + 35). So no hax. Also I was really dumb and edited the poll question instead of making a new one, so the votes carried over. I've fixed it now but the 2 votes I got will be added in mentally when it closes. You'll need those kind of odds to beat Djokovic tonight. Who knows, maybe you'll double him with the one hand backhand?

Richard Lionheart Gasquet
Hello Fire Emblem Community! I'm back from a bit of a rough weekend. Gasquet got kicked around by Djokovic, but I won't let him lose to Nergal. Let's get back to business! Won't let me vote. Says I gotta answer all the questions? This is now fixed. The problem was, specifically, that I was dumb. Now you can vote for anyone but Dorcas to your heart's content! Now!!! Chapter 13: Previously on Fire Emblemtm Eliwood and Co. make their way to Santaruz, but get lost after handing Lowen the map. Hector and Oswin clear the path and meet up with them. The problems don't end there, however. Mr. Wood's got a fat bounty on his head. Good guess, but my desire to hurt you has nothing to do with your dad. Let's see if the A team can redeem themselves. Finally! I know how you feel, Helman. Almost just isn't good enough. Time to hire some more competent assassins. Lord Helman has a sudden bout of gas. He exits to the washroom off screen, presumably. Maybe you should get some glasses, Eliwood. Squinting is bad for your eyes. This isn't Santaruz! Somehow we wandered into Glasgow. Hector tries to offer him his axe as a bribe. Unfortunately, it's a bit rusty. He intimidates us by running to safety. Smooth move. We also get a glimpse of a recruitable unit this chap. I assume it's the guy on the right. (It's actually the Guy on the left. Ho ho...ahem.) I like the look in your eyes, Lowen. We also welcome Bartre into our ranks. He's a real charmer. I give Lowen a Javelin, to show off my tactical prowess. Just kidding, I'm a genius. I'm 10 steps ahead of the complex AI. Did I say Marcus was banned? Well, rules are made to be broken. Don't quit your day job. Matthew is free, but he wont see much combat. Right now he's just here for Guy. Getting Bartre back up to speed. Get it? Speed! It's funny because Bartre has 3 Speed. Raise your hand if you've accidentally stolen from Guy before. Guy joins because he was saved by Matthew's meat before. Eliwood is here too, but I'm sure no one misses him. We break through the south and head toward the castle gate. Marcus meets up with an old friend. Neither of them will age well. No comment. Whoa. A welcome surprise. Bartre has his work cut out for him. Lowen also realizes that Eliwood won't be helping anytime soon. Uh oh. Lowen doesn't do much to the boss. Good thing we have the Rapier on our side! Or maybe not. This might take a while. Eliwood gets desperate and waves his sword in an attempt to distract McBoies. With an Energy Ring this is not so bad actually? Bartre beats the boss back to Aberdeen. Say that 5 times fast. 'T'was not luck, but skill! (and also luck) Still on pace for the world record, I reckon. We meet up with Helman, but he's struggling in the bathroom. He gives some ominous advice. Something smells, and it's not Lord Helman. It proves too much for him in the end, alas. Maybe you shouldn't have taken a billion turns to get here! Ever thought about that, huh? We must hurry to Laus and avenge him!!! ...but first... Now that I'm back, I'll try and get out 13x in short order. Expect it when you least expect it. Also, feel free to break the tie in the poll. (Vote Priss!) I'll close it off tomorrow and put up the chapter 15 poll as well. Until next time!
