Zerosabers
What is the hardest rpg that makes you sit there and let your enemies bitch slap you while you wait your turn like a good little boy.
Draco
FF4 on DS?I don't even remember.
I'm gay dabadeedabada
Apparently a tossup between SMT3/SJ and Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. Having played a little of those games, I agree. If we're talking SRPGs, Rondo of Swords with no grinding is difficult as hell.
Nightmare
SMT3/SJ are pretty hard. Digital Devil Saga too.
Maritisa
*Glares at ATLUS* I think you have plenty of candidates right there.
Ein
SMT3/SJ are pretty hard. Digital Devil Saga too. Strange Journey mostly.

Jedi
The 7th Saga. How is The 7th Saga, I've heard a fair bit about it.
Ein
How is The 7th Saga, I've heard a fair bit about it. The bird enemy at the start of the game can kill you outright because, depending on the character, you do not have enough agility to HIT or RUN AWAY from it. Tryhard
How is The 7th Saga, I've heard a fair bit about it.I couldn't tell you much other than it's renowned for its difficulty changes after it was localized and it shows when I played the opening only to get whipped pretty hard. I don't know much else other than it is consistently a struggle. http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=38230&p=2296096 was a playthrough on here, at least. Topazd
I'd say Nocturne on Hard is the hardest SMT I've played, so my vote goes to that one. DDS1 was very forgiving in my experience but 2 may have some intimidating bosses, from what I've heard. The 7th Saga seems to be more of a patience test than anything. I've still enjoyed it as far as I've played, though.
Cowboy Karimov
I've heard that Pier Solar and the Great Architects is pretty brutal. I'm just getting started with JRPGs, though.
Water Mage
SMT Nocture all the way, it downright cruel at times, like Matador and Mot, Oohhh, Mot... You can lose without even having a single turn!

Is it this thing they called a Wyvern? Then again.. I did pick one of the faster characters I think, she seems like a glass cannon. Zerosabers
I'd love to play more of SMT 3, but I despise the Tokyo map so much. Never played sj or 7th Saga before, I'll probably try 7th though.

Tamarsamar
FF4 on DS? I don't even remember. You clearly mean FFIII. Also yeah, that, in addition to basically anything from Atlus, as mentioned.
DodgeDusk
Nocturne/Lucifer's Call is a pretty hard turn-based RPG, yeah. I'm going to be different and say Resonance of Fate, because the bosses in that game can--and will--kick your ass. Repeatedly. So satisfying when you finally end up beating one, though Besides, more people need to appreciate this:
Ϲharlie
SaGa Frontier II is not too difficult for most of the game, but has a pretty massive difficulty spike toward the end. Actually, that could be said of most SaGa games.
Junk
isn't nocturne considered the second easiest SMT? I hear wizardry 4 is pretty hard.
