Serpent of Sheol Posted January 7, 2016 Author Share Posted January 7, 2016 All right, sorry for the delay. Schedule got hectic because of some pretty rough life events with my Robotics team. We're making a cut to the images uploaded, so instead of turn by turn battles, I'm cutting out most of the turns; I'll stick in anything notable from the combat, including the Pokemon on the enemy's team and their weird moves. Level-ups will remain inside, along with new moves. Anyway, here's the progress! [spoiler=BugMeNot gets less bad] Are you telling me that I'm just that unlucky to miss that many times? So the levelups mimic the stats. BugMeNot is apparently also a tank. I really want to know how this thing is able to Double Kick, anyway. It doesn't matter anymore, since we're replacing it with Poison Tail. At least one of my Pokemon is getting Speed. I shouldn't have said anything. So at this point I think BugMeNot could tank non-Megahorn Bug Type moves. Having less instant-death is nice. S P E E D B O I S I wonder if my entire team is going to be Speed-screwed. [spoiler=The First Trainer Battle] "What could a Lumineon do? That Pokemon sucks!" ... Oh. Right. I guess the rite of passage in Randolocke runs is having a new Pokemon getting hit by super effective and seeing if they survive. BugMeNot gives no shits and takes no shit. Okay, so now we have one of the weakest stat totals in the game. As dictated by the last Pokemon, BugMeNot is going to be OP since he survived the Eruption. This is an objective fact. BUGMENOT DOES NOT CARE FOR YOUR FIGHTING-TYPE MOVES So two things happen here: Sunflora makes the mistake of using Conversion and telling me its new type, AND also brought The Great Destroyer, Hoppunch to the battlefield. Sunflora was only the next in line to be violently murdered by Hoppunch. OH MY GOD HOPPUNCH GOT SPEED that's also the end of the battle. I took the kid's money and left. [spoiler=BugMeNot 2: Electric Boogaloo] AWW I CAN'T ATTACK A CUBCHOO I lied. It didn't do anything notable, either. You can see that five HP it took off. NO NOT PARAHAX Okay, so Bone Club was super effective twice and went through the Paralysis. Pretty cool. SO CLOSE TO KILLING WITH POISON TAIL UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH #uselesscriticalhits Pretty nice level-up except for the lack of Speed. HAHA NO ... Shit. Wow! Just like the wild battle! Alas, we switch to Hoppunch anyway. Not testing my luck on that. Battle went smoothly from there. [spoiler=Trainer Battle 3] Sure, kid. I know better than to think you have a Lillipup. I forgot to mention: all Youngsters are Bikers. He just fell into the wrong crowd. A shame, really. EW GLIGAR. Wait, this is a randomizer. I have nothing to fear! Pssh, that won't paralyze! It's such a low chance! **throws laptop across room** After three or so turns of Bone Clubs, it died. Pretty bulky too. I KNOW BETTER THAN TO THINK THIS POKEMON HAS NO SUPER EFFECTIVE MOVES THIS TIME I WAS RIGHT Look at all the damage Cottonee didn't do! Frillish probably isn't any stronger. ... Christ. Does every Pokemon but mine know Roar of Time? Not like it matters, anyway. This thing literally used Agility for three turns while I was paralyzed, and this turn I finally landed a Bone Club and killed it instantly. [spoiler=I FORGOT THERE WAS A RIVAL BATTLE AT THE END OF THE ROUTE] Luckily, this Pokemon had Forewarn for Wake-up Slap. I'm going to try to use that as fast as possible. And now I'm trapped in battle with it! ... This is going to be a long battle. Safety Potion was used. Where can I get one of these? A TON OF PARALYSIS, FREEZE SHOCKS, THREE CYCLES OF MAGMA STORM, AND ANOTHER POTION LATER, WE KILLED IT. I know how to deal with these!
