In the Conquest edition a male main character created by the gamer can pair up with another male character (Niles) which ultimately leads to marriage. Similarly, in the Birthright edition, a female main character created by the gamer can pair up with and eventually marry another female character (Rhajat). Like married couples of the opposite gender, these same-sex couples enjoy the stat boosts that come with marriage, which means when they are paired up in battle they are stronger than when they are apart or paired up with another character.

In the third edition, Revelation, that will be released as DLC in the eShop on March 10, a same-sex marriage is possible regardless of the sex of your main character, as both Niles and Rhajat can be encountered in this edition.

If they were going to remove same-sex marriage, they wouldn't even reiterate this. They're also referencing to the Western release of the game because of the localized game titles, which further supports the fact that same-sex marriage is still going to be a thing.

Case closed.

That's not quite how it happened.

In that chapter, Elise caught a strange sickness that could only be cured by specific herb, but the problem was that the herb just happened to be under Ryoma's possesion, who claimed he would only give the herbs if Corrin returned to Hoshido (and naturally they refused.)

Not even. It's more like Ryouma went to pick a fight with Kamui after being tipped off by someone who really wants to see Kamui fight the last person they wanna fight, and was just physically occupying the half of the house that the herbs happened to be in telling Kamui to fight him.

That and they wouldn't remove the same sex S supports in the North America release since we were the real reason its in there. We were the ones that wanted it in so bad, I don't think Japan gave a shit either way.
