Aggro Incarnate Posted February 5, 2016 Share Posted February 5, 2016 Since Awakening battle and critical quotes have been one of the gems of seeing the game localised, particularly when these lines tend to be a bit more varied in the English version compared to the Japanese (especially the battle quotes that come up after defeating an enemy: too many 'Watashi no Kachi-desu" and its variants in the JP version IMO). For better or for worse some of the quotes made me smile (either from it being funny or cringe-worthy). From the glimpses of the game so far from the recent streams we've seen quite a few of these iconic moments so far, and so I decided to ask which of these came across as particularly interesting. Ennui Posted February 5, 2016 Share Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) Kaden's laugh is good. Remind's me of Walhart's and Noire's laughs during their critical hits. Edit: I didn't notice the battle quote part before. I like pretty much anything that comes out of Arthur's mouth so I will be using him a lot. I also like a Dual Guard line of Rinkah where she says "So much work!" Idk why but I find it amusing. I never paid much attention to the foxboy but I'm starting to like him solely because of his voice. Takumi's "Not my fault you're weak" is so condescending I can't help but to love it. We haven't heard it in combat yet, but I assume Leo's "I will erase you!" is one of his crit quotes (iirc it's pretty close to one of his Japanese crits). I love the delivery on that line. It took a while to get used to him (I can't get over how his tone is so weirdly seductive, it cracks me up), but his "This one's not afraid to die" is awesome.
