I mean, I expected it to be disturbing but hoooly shit. That was one of the creepiest, disturbing, confusing things I have seen in my life, yet it was extremely compelling. Anyone else here seen this movie?

Try all of his other stuff to literally blow your mind even more. Perfect Blue is so smooth, so good with a little touch of genius. But is it creepy? I found it to be not creepy at all.

I heard Tokyo Godfather is amazing, but I'm saving it for Christmas time.

Yeah, I saw Perfect Blue a few years ago and as bat shit insane as I originally found it, It's kind of a work of art. I wouldn't call the entire experience creepy, but it's definitely meant to be evocative. The psychological aspects and the grim look into idol culture is pretty, well, grim. The faux rape scene was probably the only part I found genuinely disturbing though, even in its given context.

But it's realistic in many ways.
