Tuvillo
I think a double elimination bracket is better. Quite interested to see how many people we can get. Edit: I think it'll be more like everyone will be given a few days to arrange a time with their opponent, then handle it themselves and pass the result. Then after the deadline, we start the next round. Edited March 13, 2016 by Tuvillo

I second this.I personally prefer double elimination to Swiss, though I suppose it does give people more opportunities to play and get better at the game.. :S Dunno how I feel about switching decks mid-game either, unless it's a legal thing in the actual rules. I'd prefer to keep it as close to official as possible. Aside from that, I'm totally interested. DifferentFight
Double elim. or swiss are both fine, but I'm not too keen on the deck switching part. In regionals, don't people just play with one deck throughout the day? Or at least I'm fairly confident in assuming they would, since that's how it goes in most other TCG championships. Tuvillo
And how are you going to make sure people stick to it?
daniel237157
First thing first, I'd like to enter. Now, the deck switching thing, I actually like it but I would do it like in Hearthstone: We all have like 3 or 2 decks we have to sign in with and hten, we can change between them but, we can't change them during the tournament. Omegaweapon
And how are you going to make sure people stick to it? I've been in regionals for Yugioh. They make you signed a deck list with all cards in your deck, side deck and extra deck. I guess that can be used, even though people STILL can cheat. That helps. I guess since theres a bracket just ask the person they played before or something. Lots of people talk in between rounds. This is just my real life experience. Only cheating I can see being done here is card swapping or network manipulation so I doubt it will be a big problem. What's the prize anyway? Just recognition? TheVinceKnight
I do love that recognition. Can't keep track of people changing few cards or a whole deck within a whole tournament but I guess you can limit them to the MC they can use. You could suggest 1 MC for the whole tournament for each player for example. And they have to stick by it.

DifferentFight
Not opposed to deck lists either tbh. EDIT: Also, enter me. I'll catch back up with the game in due time. :') Edited March 14, 2016 by DifferentFight
Tuvillo
So you want a tournament with 16 Marths?
TheVinceKnight
No of course not.
Ignis Sphaera
At the end of the day, unfortunately it would be hard to actually enforce any rules in this tournament. You could say no deck switching, but really how are we meant to know? What if it uses the same cards, but 5 Or 6 cards are swapped out. I don't think anyone would notice. You kinda just have to rely on good will. Say that only 1 deck can be used, and then hope that every player adheres to it. I mean, they should, but there's not much you can do otherwise. Regardless, count me in. It'll be interesting to see how I can play in a tournament setting.
Omegaweapon
So you want a tournament with 16 Marths? It's funny because Meta decks are based off of what decks top. So if top 16 is Marths deck for a couple tournaments, then well There you lol
Ignis Sphaera
Unless a deck is tier 0, a deck that is so good that the only way it can ever lose is if you use that same deck, there will always be some form of variety. People will always use different decks, rogue decks, etc. There'd be a mix of Marth, Corrin, Kinu, etc. Even if it's 80% Marth, that deck isn't nearly powerful enough to be tier 0. Using themed MC's is a pretty interesting idea for a tournament though. Say that everyone must use Charlotte as MC, or everyone must use Kinu, and see what types of decks people come up with. Could be kinda cool I suppose. I guess those sorts of ideas would have to wait and see how this goes.

It allows variety without hurting a deck too much

Jariu
Alright, none of you goofs have done anything so imma do it, do we just mix this with Reikenan's Challonge thing or what? Not like we are all that mcuh people anyways and it does make it eaier to keep track fo people and the bracket, it also allows people that aren't on Serenes to be able to contact it if they are willing to joing the Skype chat, or the Discord even as dead as it may be becasue we are all on the Skype one anyways (although a few of us do have it on due to having Discord open). http://challonge.com/es/fecipher_set4_tourney The remains of the Discord: https://discord.gg/0bF9eX4sPYffLjyN Edited March 17, 2016 by Jariu
