I'm still experimenting with a ton of setups, but Dark Mage seems to have my vote from a design and gameplay standpoint. It's the one class that allows the Avatar to basically beat the game by themselves, and the lady Avatar looks so damn good doing it.

Oni Savage was a whole lot of suck just to get to Blacksmith. Marian (my avatar) had everything going for her but hit rates. Thankfully, Blacksmith un-fucked almost everything wrong with that class stat-wise. Oni Chieftain was really tempting because I like the idea of axes and scrolls, but it gave no skill whatsoever and I was already having trouble hitting things. I might just dip into it later for Death Blow.
