bunny: spider bitten
Another question, yah, but would it be theoretically possible to include promotion choices into another game in the series?
Nintenlord
Theoretically it's possible to make make Fire Emblems play like a generic FPS with generic self-employed landscaping contractor as the main character shooting generic Nazis, Muslim terrorists etc in generic brown environments. It just requires work and talent, meaning it's probably impossible for you to do the promotion split hack and you might as well hack FE8 instead. Moral of the story: Always consider the easy way first.
bunny: spider bitten
If I simply wanted it for FE6 and FE6 characters and maps and enemies, would it really be easier to hack all that into FE8? Because I have my doubts.

Not Changed by VASM :(
The FPS part? Every "hardcore" gamer to ever infest the Internet *loathes hardcore gamers*. A game that you can beat in 1 Hour isn't hardcore, THAT is casual... A game like FE or Pikmin or even friggen GTA is hardcore just for the amount of time you can spend playing it. Nintenlord
A game that you can beat in 1 Hour isn't hardcore, THAT is casual...A game like FE or Pikmin or even friggen GTA is hardcore just for the amount of time you can spend playing it. A videogame being hardcore means that it uses all the best available technologies, nothing else. 1 hour MGS with CG cutscenes, voice acting, orchestrated music and sound, HD-graphics and Internet play is more hardcore than 200 hour FE game without them. Length does have an effect on "hardgoryness", since better technology allows more data to be stored on a DVD disc.PS: Pikmin is one of the least hardcore game of last gen and FE has been on the same boat since SNES. bunny: spider bitten
Well, seeing as how I didn't exactly get my answer, I guess I'll just look for it myself.

sandmanccl
The FPS part? Every "hardcore" gamer to ever infest the Internet *loathes hardcore gamers*. Define hardcore.
Nintenlord
Define hardcore. A techfag gamer who peacocks around Internet message forums claiming that his opinion is superior to everyone else's. A hardcore gamer also prefers dark games with plenty of hookers, gore, blood, swearing, and other things 12-year-old kids think is "mature". A hardcore gamer also is deeply frightened by the chance that gaming will be seen as playing like it's supposed to, since they can't consider themselves "mature" if they are playing with a toy all day long. This is also seriously getting offtopic. Someone split this, since this may lead to interesting conversation, please? Edited October 23, 2008 by Nintenlord
