Shun One
Elfen Lied gets pretty nuts later on. From what I remember any way. Cowboy Bebop is definitely worth a watch. Samurai Champloo is as well. If you like a lot of character dialogue, Bakemonogatari and it's sequel Nisemonogatari both fit the bill. The first is better than the second I should warn. As for myself, going to be watching: Medaka Box, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, The Legend of Korra Don't know about anything else new that's coming up. We'll see
Blademaster!
Avatar: The Last Airbender( I wished it was longer and had better char development) The Legend of Korra Not anime. Any recommendations? Look up Weekly Shounen Jump, find a list of series released in the magazine, and watch anything from there. Based on what you've seen, most of it originated in JUMP. Don't know about anything else new that's coming up. We'll see You should look up a spring 2012 anime season chart. Spring looks like it's going to be loads better than winter. Balcerzak
You should look up a spring 2012 anime season chart. Spring looks like it's going to be loads better than winter. Upotte Otome x Amnesia Sankarea a bunch of S2 including F/Z, kore ha zombie and Saki Better perhaps, though I'm not sure "loads better", necessarily. Shun One
Not anime. Wondered if anyone would take the bait. I know, just a bit of a joke to see how many people would point it out. You should look up a spring 2012 anime season chart. Spring looks like it's going to be loads better than winter. Will do. I'll see how many shows I actually bother to watch. uguu
Avatar takes enough inspiration from anime that it might as well be considered anime, regardless of country of origin. btw this is all you need for information on the animes: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3469908
Florete
You should look up a spring 2012 anime season chart. Spring looks like it's going to be loads better than winter. I dunno. Other than sequels, nothing in Spring stands out to me, whereas I quite enjoyed most of Winter.
Blademaster!
Avatar takes enough inspiration from anime that it might as well be considered anime, regardless of country of origin. But then that pretty much defeats the purpose of something being called an anime. Anime are literally just cartoons made in japan. That's the definition. Also, no one outside of Japan/people who can't into moon runes probably knows what space bros is. My roommate is excited for it and says it's pretty good. I quite enjoyed most of Winter. How could anyone say they enjoyed this winter? Most of the anime were awful or meh at best, with Daily Lives clearly being the best show of the season, and even that is an anime that would struggle to get into top tier at best. Lol, I didn't even watch Daily Lives. Clearly you did not watch Milky Holmes, though. I also enjoyed Lagrange, Black Rock Shooter, Symphogear, Ano Natsu de Matteru, Another...Even Highschool DxD has some So Bad It's Good value. Oh, and...I Enjoyed Winter <- That's how. EDIT: Nothing from Winter was amazing ("Top tier"), but I don't think that's necessary for a reasonably good season. Gone2Ground
...Still hoping for Season 2 of Darker than Black...come on FUNimation, don't disappoint me now you already did that with Sands of Destruction.

I didn't watch any sequels since I had never watched the prequels ;_; I'm trying to watch Bake right now so that I can watch Nise, but Bake is pretty boring... Ano Natsu being a clone of Onegai Teacher didn't really help me enjoy it, and I've already explained my view on Another in the past. Kinda wish I saw more of BRS and Symphogear. Also, DxD is actually pretty great for its genre. I wouldn't even classify the anime as a harem, which probably helped it out since it didn't suffer the typical dense guy surrounded by girls that want his cock and annoying tsundere stuff. MC was pretty great too, and it's also selling really well for its genre. First week sales of volume one almost broke 10k, which is really good for anime sales in general. Florete
Ano Natsu being a clone of Onegai Teacher Why do people keep saying this? It's only in the art style. The actual plots are pretty different with the only similarity being that the main girl is an alien. It's like people saying Symphogear is a clone of The World Ends With You because the monsters are called "Noise." EDIT: Also, Pornomonogatari is awful and if you don't like Bakemonogatari, you won't like its excuse for a sequel. The actual plots are pretty different with the only similarity being that the main girl is an alien. It also helps that the story was made by the same guy and they take place in the same universe. I only read the manga for please teacher, and I barely remember it, but even I was still able to think that Ano Natsu was pretty much a clone of Onegai Teacher. Main girls are both aliens and both look really similar. MC and main girl both wear glasses like in OT... It's likely mainly because the writer is the same and people are upset he couldn't come up with something more original.

If that's the case, then the Boondocks would be considered anime too lol. All I've watched from this season is Daily Lives, which I agree is pretty good but not top tier. I also heard Guilty Crown was pretty good (is that this season?).

I already mentioned that there are artistic similarities, so if that's all you have, try harder. That hardly makes it a clone since the execution is very different. And you don't even know it's in the same universe unless you catch the reference at the end; it's more like an easter egg than a relevant point. I also heard Guilty Crown was pretty good (is that this season?). Last season technically, but it's shit. Worst anime of 2011. Balcerzak
While I wouldn't go so far as to call it a clone, Ano Natsu really should have been called Onegai Senpai. Just saying. Also, it was nowhere near as good as Ano Hana.

Lol, that I could see. Also, it was nowhere near as good as Ano Hana. Actually, I'd say I preferred Ano Natsu. Ano Hana felt too much like a typical teen drama that tried too hard to make its audience cry, and it got to the point where I was actually laughing at a scene that I think I was supposed to be crying my eyes out in. Ano Natsu just felt more serious and well-done overall. EDIT: Ano Hana also didn't have any character nearly as awesome as Remon. King Marth 64
I'm watching the Kid Icarus Anime 3D, Lucky Star anime, and Dragon Ball GT in Nicktoons, right now. Almost done: Dragon Ball Z Kai Anime Movie I saw: Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, and Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan Anime Movie that I didn't get it finished seeing it yet: The Secret World of Arrietty Edited March 29, 2012 by King Marth
Blademaster!
I already mentioned that there are artistic similarities, so if that's all you have, try harder. That hardly makes it a clone since the execution is very different. If clone is too strong a word for you then I would just say that the two are very similar, which they are. Other similarities that I can think of between the two would be Older Female/Younger male relationship (Not the most common thing in anime/manga, but not necessarily all that rare). And I think the way the MC and MH (main heroine) met was by the MH crashing into the MC, and then needing to stay close by the MC to make sure they stay in good health after she saved him. That's all I got on the matter really though. You'd probably be better off asking someone else if you would want to find more comparisons/similarities as to why a noticeable number of people would say that the two are clones/whatever. People also said Symphogear is a clone of The World Ends With You despite the fact that the two have absolutely nothing in common except the name of the monsters fought. People may find one similarity and scream "rip-off!," but that doesn't make them right. I've seen Please Teacher, and although it wasn't exactly recent, it hasn't been too long; the two have similarities, but enough differences to set themselves apart. Haha, oh wow really? That's a pretty stupid comparison for people to make. But yeah I agree with what you are trying to say. Things are really only a clone when you have things like dances with wolves and avatar, otherwise you just get things that are really similar like HxH and Naruto/YYH and Bleach. Setzer
I started the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series. I've been waching KissxSis (Don't judge me) I've finished (that isn't new): Death Note - felt it should have ended after L. Highschool of the Dead - Lots of fanservice, was pretty good though. DBZ - There are no words Rurouni Kenshin - probably my favorite anime/manga G Gundam - Voice acting in the dub was funny, liked it a lot. Black Rock Shooter - first new anime I kept up with K-ON!!- Pretty funny; cute girls doing cute things Yu-Gi-Oh! - Dub is hilarious; childhood favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - not as good as original, but I found it entertaining. Manga I've been reading: Yotsuba - Hilarious It's Not My Fault I'm Not Popular! - Also funny KissxSis- Don't judge me...
