Would aptitude help fix this,or am I screwed? P.S. If it does fix his growth, can somebody link me their castle with an aptitude Gunter? Thanks. Unless you feed him with tons of Dracoshields, you can't even rely on his Defense. That makes a 35% growth with aptitude, his base Def and Level respectively at 10 and 3, you'll hit the level cap before having a correct Defense, and he'd absorb all the experience. Even if I bought him Wary Fighter (and I prefer not to buy unaccessible skills for a character) I would not use him.
