It's not exactly new, the assassination happened about one week ago but since no one mentioned it, I hope we can have a good discussion here. The assassination was done by two females (one Indonesian and one Vietnamese) in Malaysian airport and both of them were caught together with some other North Korean suspects although the four main North Korean suspects are still at large. Kim Jong-Nam was on exiled and have never returned to North Korea even when his father died. He was said to be having no interested in becoming North Korea leader and expressed his wish to reform North Korea. He was killed with VX nerve agent, a weapon of mass destruction and banned by UN.

For now, people still have no idea who would want to kill Kim Jong-Nam.

I would say that's pretty obvious; the current leader of North Korea himself.  Regardless of whether or not Kim Jong-Nam wanted to, his relation to the previous leader still allowed for the possibility of him challenging his half-brother.  So why not tie up a loose end if you can?  That's the sort of cold, heartless logic that dictators use.  That's why medieval leaders would kill their enemy's entire families when conquering kingdoms; not just the kings themselves.

It's not that obvious.

1 of the suspect had been released.

"If I just accept everything, they will make arrangements for a good life in Malaysia," Ri Jong Chol said, adding: "This is when I realised that it was a trap. It was a trap to bring down the reputation of my country."

If you watch all the news, you will realize that the South Korean and Western media blamed North Korea even before the Malaysia have said anything. As if they know everything better than the Malaysia themselves.

South Korea has confirmed the killing of the brother of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un, saying it could be a sign of the brutality of Pyongyang.

Quote

South Korean media named the victim early on Tuesday but the Malaysian authorities initially reported only the sudden death of an unnamed North Korean national who had fallen ill at the airport.

Well, it's almost certain that Nam was done by his half brother but we should remember everyone is innocent until proven otherwise. Until we have more proof, we cant really blame it on Kim Jong Un.

There is still no evidence that the victim is Kim Jong Nam

Even when Kim Jong Nam's son has arrived for a DNA test. http://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2017/02/20/han-sol-arriving-in-kl/

If the real VX nerve agent, a weapon of mass destruction, banned by UN (but not yet banned by the US http://edition.cnn.com/2013/10/11/us/u-s-chemical-weapons/), has been used, there should be more than just 1, yeah, just 1 victim.

Everyone is trying so hard to blame Kim Jong Un for this.

Rather than argue for the sake of arguing, what do YOU think happened?

It's a trap to lure the North Korea, same thing happened to the Iraq when there was no WMD found, they'll try to doom the country.

So what if it's a sting? DPRK is on the verge of becoming a nuclear power, and with their leadership tripping that high on power as it is, they may try to nuke Seoul. Not to mention they are basically a raving theocracy is even more telling of how dire this situation is.

If NK really does that, the country deserve its fate.

It's still not the reason why you should frame a man for his half-brother's murder without any solid evident.

Wait, so we still don't know that the victim was Jong Nam??? I thought they already confirmed that days ago - at least that's the impression what I get from read from English (Australian and British) and Japanese articles.

Yes sir.

The Malaysia still hasn't confirm the victim is Kim Jong Nam, they can only confirm that he carried a North Korean passport with the name Kim Chol.

And all the media around the world keep ignoring this fact and telling their audience that the victim is Kim Jong Nam.
