Fireman
Perhaps Greil is actully a genius and he knew that cofronting the BK would get him killed, knowing that Ike would take charge of the mercenaries, become one of the greatest leaders the world has known, and use his lust for revenge to motivate himself to be able to defeat the BK eventually, where that battle tests whether Ike has truly surpassed Greil and that Ike, with his life in Tellius finsihed, move on and explore new lands, establishing his story as one of the greatest legends of Tellius. Then again, maybe Greil didn't think that far ahead...

Florete
Greil could have been that smart. Maybe he was planning it with Soren and Titania all along. Edited July 30, 2008 by Fox
CGV
there must be some story behind it why he fought the BK. I always thought it was suspicious how his talk with Ike didn't last long. And how did he know the BK around cuz he left to tell Ike he had something to take care or soemthing like that
kaonohiokala
He should have at least did something exciting before he died. Greil: Hey Titania, I'm making breakfast tomorrow!
