I was wondering because in FE6, all they mention was his/her/it name and how nobody seen his/her/it face or know about the person's personality. Athos and Bramimond were the last of the eight heroes, Apocalypse was the most powerful dark magic, used by Bramimond. So yes, they are one and the same. Most likely not, seeing as his last words pretty much were.... "I may very well join you soon. But for now, I need some rest." Plus, he was absent during the events of FE6.
