During and after World War 2, it became a communist nation, with Josip Tito running as its dictator. Yugoslavia had an large amount of extremely diverse ethic groups. Unfortunately, when Tito died, the countries economy strategy was only a temporary boost rather than a long term plan, and ethnic tensions began to rise considerably, tragically leading to the Bosnian Genocide and the Yugoslavian wars.
