senketsu
From what I've read you get back all spent renown back on NG+. So therefore you buy something with renown and sell it for more renown, and repeat. On NG+ you should get way more than you would normally have. Working on testing, don't have a save near end yet. If others could also test that would be great. Thoughts? Edit: Spelling Edited March 16, 2020 by senketsu
EdgeOfDreams
You heard wrong. You do not get all spent renown back. You carry over any unspent renown. You also get a bonus amount of renown based on the difficulty of the last playthrough you beat and the total number of playthroughs you have completed. The fastest way to rack up NG+ renown is repeated speedruns. On Normal + Casual, you can spend a bit of renown at the start to get Byleth's Authority and Sword skill up, equip Byleth with a strong battalion, and proceed to solo the entire game. Skipping all cutscenes, combat animations, free days, and instruction means you can complete a run in less than 5 hours, maybe as little as 2 hours. Just before the end of the game, spend all your money on cheap seeds, then sacrifice everything in your storehouse to the pagan altar. Vontrian
Another method (Requires the Ashen Wolfs DLC) Dont skip to mission content, Do the Aux Battles or side missions that reward you large gold bars, each gold bar is 100 renown, large ones 500, on top of mission reward renown, late game Aux missions give 15k gold or more 4.5k renown for 3 battles of just warping a unit into a mass of enemies. Using the Pegan Alter at the end of the game you can sell off all un-needed equipment and then Buy 50G seeds from the Southern*? Merchant each one given to the alter is 5 renown. Math wise this means that gold directly converts at a 10:1 ratio, dont know about you but i find it quite common to have 100k gold just sitting around at the end of the game, thats an easy 10k renown, if you refrain from buying mats from travlers and just do a quick murderfest casual run with a solo character + something to warp to bosses it wouldent be surprising to get 20k renown or more depending on if you do extra battles or not. Just get a Heck-ton of renowen at the end of the game and then start a NG+ run with that full amount plus your standard ammount. Edited August 12, 2020 by Vontrian Added info, ideas of how to gain more renown.

You can also sell anything that is kept in the Storehouse for renown (except gifts/lost items) and leftover metal/fish/meat also goes for a decent amount of renown. I made around 20K renown just off this at the end of the game, which is a decent sum (had a fair amount of fish and umbral steel lying around though). Vontrian
More info, been testing, great way to farm using this method is to solo run Crimson route with lindhart(for warp) and Ferdinand. Ferdinand (great all around stat caps and good growths) with WarMonk dodge masterie skill and stat buff dumps + Chalice of balance, makes him a neigh indestructible that can solo the game with only the cost of 8k~ renown Throw on an evasion battalion if you want to just afk you can use alertstance+ and you can get upwards of 100 base evade just off passives. THATS not even factoring in luck and speed on top of it all, base str makes it so your brawler weapons are weightless, so you get your full speed Simply put Ferdinand is a God. Use him to farm renown. Edited August 11, 2020 by Vontrian
