Not Changed by VASM :(
Right before endgame you can choose to have Ike make a speech or not, I've done multiple playthroughs with both choices and I have yet to notice any difference in stats items or dialogue? Does anyone know if there are any effects? And if there aren't why the hell they gave you a choice.
HowAreYaBud
I don't think there's any difference. And they do that a lot in games. They give you a choice, and then force you to do it anyway. It seems more lifelike like that I guess :P
Chalis
Because hearing Mist going "Pthpthphtphtphtpth!" is fun.
Leonri
Does it affect biorythm? It would be cool if it made all units start with high biorythm.... But it probably does nothing though....
xanatha
I haven't thought of that. I don't think it makes any differences.
Ike-Mike
And if there aren't why the hell they gave you a choice. To make the game seem less linear.

Just call me AL
Pretty much that one speech that Ike gives is skipped if you choose no. (Obviously.) I usually choose yes though.
Herr Wozzeck
I clicked yes, because I wanted to see Ike's public speaking skills. And what do we get. A 'meh, whatever' speech. At least it was fun to see that the army he leads is a thousand times bigger than the amount of units that we actually have throughout the entire game. I was thinking "ok you have 1000s of men and field about 10, genius strategy.
Herr Wozzeck
that kinda pissed me off. I was thinking "ok you have 1000s of men and field about 10, genius strategy. Or, maybe they were fighting reinforcements that were coming in from all sides outside. ;) But honestly, you have a point there; but since the few people we use are actually really powerful, we can get away with using about ten. But yeah the ten we use = 100 of them so all's good.

Killer Poleax
I've never said no cause I like Ike's speech. It's pretty much word for word what Greil said when they split up in Gallia. At that moment, you really see how much he's grown since the beginning of the game.
