Care to expound upon that, some? Alluding to Squareeeenix tactics without an example... anyone can make claims, remember.

I get it. You can't buy exact numbers of points and most purchases will leave with some left over. You're basically giving Nintendo an interest free loan. Personally, I buy my points in card form as that way Nintendo gets the least of my money if I buy through the Wii shop Nintendo gets 100% of it, I buy a card in a store the store gets their profit margin and as a result Nintendo get less...a bit of a cut my nose to spite my face but still...

I think as far as stores go Sony's PSN store is right on the ideas with it using real money. Its still got the reiogn locking faults all the stores have (though PSN is currently the easiest to break down, make a US or Japanese account and bam, content...only you have to pray your debit or credit card will work or else you're stuck buying pre-paid cards at a premium through eBay*)

*-Entropay and other virtual credit cards no longer work but the pre-paid cards now exist

That's why you buy an SD card to use, if interested in its use >.>

Really? >____________>

My point is, Nintendo is so lazy, that their "best console" has virtually no memory at all. That forces everyone to buy SD cards. Channels and VC games will clog up its memory in almost no time at all. That means you'll have to copy your VC games onto the SD card and then delete them, and if you ever want to play them again you'll have to copy the data slowly all over again.

That isn't laziness. That is penny pinching.

They save a couple of dollars by only using 512MB of flash (rather than a few gigabytes)...of which the end user can only use about half.

Of course in terms of R&D they are paying the price now as they are frantically working out a way to get games to stream seamless off any SD card regadless of crapiness. At least games don't take an age to copy to an SD card anymore...from could use a bit of work though.
