and since i don't know anything about PSP games out there, could you give me a suggestion as to what game to buy her for christmas?

She tends to like platforms, side-scrollers, fighting as long as they're not too graphic and gory, she tends to hate those , and games similar to Ratchet and Clank. I've tried to get her into Pokemanz and Fire Emblem, but i haven't been able to yet, so RPGs and strategy games are out.

any suggestions as to what PSP games are good for her?

NOTE: she is 11 years old, so please suggest appropriate games for her.

Sure Jesse! Here are some games...but I am not sure whether she would like them or not =/

I just chose the games that aren't violent.

1) Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant

2) Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End

3) Shrek the Third

4) Sonic Rival 2

5) Crash of Titans

6) Key of Heaven

7) Eragon

Bah I clueless. I never played these games..

My two suggestions would be Megaman Powered up and Maverick Hunter X...

Not based at all... but really Megaman Powered up seams to have the cartoon like violence effect.

Sidescrollers and platformers? She has good taste then. In that case, I suggest Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles. It's technically horror, but in the tasteful Halloween sense (that any age group can appreciate). There is a very minimal amount of blood in the game, and it's challenging enough to be engaging without being unbeatable.

As far as sidescrollers go, I know the PSP Sega Genesis collection has lots of good classics. The Genesis is probably before her time, so she'd likely be playing most of these for the first time (you'd of course know whether or not that's true though).

That's all I've got.

i'm just choosing one, you silly!

i just wrote the list of what games my sister might like, so that it would be easier to look them up and see what they're about.

TALES OF THE WORLD RADIANT MYTHOLOGY :D

My sister doesn't like RPGs...

:(

Castle-freaking-vania. Preferably Dracula X Chronicles. Three games with those three elements in it, in one. Symphony of the Night, best Castlevania game ever, and two versions of Rondo of Blood. The violence isn't too graphic, so go and buy that.

Dracula X Chronicles is pretty freakin' awesome. I third it. It's not very difficult, but it might be hard for youngsters, so I guess you'd have to do some thinking about that...

If you somehow buy DXC, play it a bit yourself when you have the chance!

Pandora battery

Oh, it looks like I was beaten again.

Anyway, the topic:

Daxter

Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure

LocoRoco

All of those games can be labeled as "kid-friendly," but they're also really good games by themselves. Daxter, especially is the best platformer on the handheld.

This. ABSOLUTELY THIS! DXC has 2 of the best Castlevanias EVER.

If you haven't, try Aria and Dawn of Sorrow, GBA and DS respectively.

First off, you should check sites like IGN and Gamespot to look for games and make sure they don't suck. I haven't played/seen Daxter, but if she's played the Jak games, which sound perfect for her (even though it's perfect for EVERYONE) she'd love it.

NEVER trust professional reviews. EVER.
