Admittedly, there are a lot of skunkbags out there who would kidnap little children, but constantly hearing about them from the media makes it seem as though a child would get kidnapped as soon as you turn away from them, which obviously isn't the case. This one woman gave her son enough money for the subway/bus. The boy was only about five or eight years old. She had the boy travel around the entire city of New York for about 5(?) hours or so(with a map/directions) and he came back to her house perfectly unharmed. Many thought she was crazy, but she was trying to prove a point that child abductions don't occur as often as we think.
