Enbarr Edition is a comprehensive rebalance mod for Three Houses, focused on providing interesting tactical tools and creating unique identities for most characters, classes, spells, and weapon types. It's not a difficulty mod or an attempt to "fix" the game's balance, it simply aims to provide a new experience for players familiar with the base game. A spreadsheet of all changes is visible here, but some of the highlights follow:

Characters:

Spoiler
  • Revised Personals: Lackluster personal skills have been spruced up or changed entirely
  • Authority Personals: 28 powerful, character-specific new skills are learned at Authority rank A, and stack on top of the original set of Personals
    • Available for Eagles, Lions, Deer, Wolves, and Byleth
    • They're meant to be quite strong to justify the extra investment into Authority, so let me know if you think your favorite character needs a buff!
  • All characters have had their bases and growths weighted according to value (i.e. Str/Mag/Spd is more valuable than Dex/Lck), and then equalized so all non-lords have the same total stat values
  • Characters' Spd and main attack stat have largely been left untouched to avoid altering their identity
  • Many changes to character-specific combat arts and spells, focused on increasing utility/variety

Classes:

Spoiler
  • All gender restrictions for classes removed
  • Dark Mage and Dark Bishop classes available to all units and don't require Dark Seals
  • All non-mounted Intermediate classes have 5 move, all non-mounted Advanced/Master classes have 6
  • All class bases, bonuses, and growths weighted and equalized to the same total stat value per tier
    • Player and enemy class growths more heavily emphasize key stats of the class
    • Mounted classes incur a slight penalty to their growths and stat bonuses
  • Reworked skill lists for each class, including 16 brand-new class innates, mastery skills, and mastery arts
  • Reworked enemy class skill lists
  • Soldier bumped up to Intermediate tier, Pegasus Knight bumped up to Advanced
  • Death Blow, Fiendish Blow, and Darting Blow nerfed to +3 in their respective stats

Weapon Triangle:

Spoiler
  • Swords, Axes, and Lances (and their combat arts) have been rebalanced to be more unique
    • Swords have excellent Crit and low Weight, but have poor Might and mediocre Hit
    • Axes have excellent Might and good Crit, but have crushing Weight and awful Hit
    • Lances are well-rounded and accurate, but have low Crit
  • Multiple new triangle advantage skills provide greater benefits, and are learned earlier
  • Shields are heavier, but provide a variety of new effects besides Def/Res

Black/Dark Magic:

Spoiler
  • All Dark magic is now counted as Black, allowing Black Tomefaire, Black Magic Uses x2, and similar skills to apply to both Black and Dark spells
  • Minor stat tweaks for most Black and Dark spells

White Magic:

Spoiler
  • White magic spells and classes overhauled to be viable options for attack mages
    • White magic has high Crit and low Weight, but low Hit
  • Seraphim replaces Nosferatu as basic white magic attack spell
  • Aura has splash damage like Meteor
  • New spell, Shine. Has 4 range but very low Might
  • New spell, Frost. Very low Might, 3-10 range attack that causes the Frozen status on hit
  • New spell, Zeal. Grants Str/Mag/Dex/Spd +4 to one ally

Battalions:

Spoiler
  • All battalion statlines weighted and equalized to the same total stat value per tier
  • Most A-rank battalions buffed to justify the heavy investment into Authority they require
  • Lackluster battalions earned from Paralogues buffed to be meaningful rewards
  • Each house has unique stat strengths and weaknesses for their battalions
    • Eagles trade high Def/Res for poor Hit
    • Lions excel in most areas but dump either Def or Res
    • Deer trade extra Crit and Avo for dire Def/Res
    • Church battalions are well-rounded
  • New gambit, Hailstorm. 3-10 range magic attack with a wide diamond AOE
  • New gambit, Scurry. Spd +4 to allies in a 2x3 AOE

Installation for Yuzu:

Spoiler
  • Back up your saved games, if present. They're in "yuzu/nand/user/save"
  • Download and unzip Enbarr Edition for Yuzu
  • Right click Three Houses in Yuzu, click "Open Mod Data Location"
  • Place "enbarr1.2.1" folder into the folder that opens up, should be "yuzu/load/010055D009F78000"
  • That's it! This mod requires a fresh New Game to function, and you can quickly tell if it's been applied properly by looking for the "Enbarr Edition" text on the bottom of the difficulty select screen, as shown in the picture below

The Authority Personals are a fascinating idea. And thank you for having offensive tactics grant accuracy on top of damage. That's what it should have always been, but instead the only way to up your odds on a 50 charm opponent was to grind out Hit+20, which felt like a design oversight to begin with.

Thanks, I hope people dig 'em! In my own playtesting they've helped characters feel a little more distinct from each other in combat.

I think it does add Hit in the vanilla game, but now that you mention it, the Authority Prowess skill line probably ought to add Hit as well! Something to look into for an eventual next version.
