  1. For Bride Lyn, her neck shape doesn't feel right to me, might be too wide or maybe too long. Where her hair meets her face is pretty unshaded and her jawline is kinda weird on the near side, it looks like you were going to put an ear but then the ear isn't there. And lol I don't even draw clavicles that deep. The hair and the hair thing are both quite nice. Personal is pretty sick, yay you actually finished stuff!
  2. I can see you're trying here with the customs, but there are a lot of problems. On the middle one, his eyes very slanted and he doesn't really have eyebrows(I'm a little confused as to what is up to date). The trim on all of them you spent too much effort trying to anti alias and not enough trying to make it into a smooth shape and line. You shouldn't ever have trim connected just by the corner, each line should end in a sort of transition rectangle where the it shadowed. <- example. The blocks can be made smaller depending on how you shade them. The inside of the collar being skin tone is kind of weird. The scales look more like a tattoo, if you want them to look like scales I would suggest using the second or third skin shades to make them a little more blended into the skin. For the hair on the far right, the colors could use a little more context and I think you should ref like Forde's hair pretty closely to make it look better. A lot of your pixel fundamentals could use work but it's a start.
  3. Her head is still really tall and her neck how now grown to be rather tall as well. The hair colors and shading haven't improved much either. The armor is a better as it doesn't have as many sharp and obvious jagged lines, but the near shoulder is still shaded from the wrong side and parts of it are a little pillowy. Again, I suggest you study hair and armor shading to get a better idea of how they work. Here's some edits, I didn't really finish anything except for the face. I made her skin tones fe8 colors to match the fe8 outline and then changed her hair color. I edited the armor colors a little bit as well and reshaded her near shoulder armor to be shaded from the correct side. I would've worked off the new armor but I had already started working on the old version.

    Auto's Sprites

It's better to post sprites without zooming in. It's still pretty simple, but it's good that you're bringing in more parts! The pieces are put together pretty well, though the integration between the hair and head is a kinda week. The positioning is good, but the hairline needs some shading with the skintones to get it blend in properly with the head. The shoulder pad looks a little slapped on since it goes over the cape without any real shading.
  5. Cool concepts! I like Hartmut the most though I think his hair would benefit from having 4 shades. The shading on Elimine is pretty weak, she just looks unfinished. They all have sort of messy bits, commonly in the hair, but they're pretty good!
  6. Cool! Sasuke definitely got some improvement (yay he has shoulders now!) but his neck seems a little short and his far shoulder might go out a little far. The shading on his coat seems pretty extreme, you might want to get a medium shade in between the bright and the very dark shadows. You put Naruto at a pretty ambitious angle and he doesn't look bad but he does feel a little squished, and his mouth might not match the angle of his face. The cloth shading could use improvement, it looks more like a bunch of lines drawn on than real clothing folds. You need to shade the areas around the fold to make it look like it's really folding (don't just shade willy nilly, try and get references). The details are nice, the headband looks really good. For both of them, the hair is pretty simple with a lot of flat boring space. That might be the style of Naruto, but it looks kinda weird in FE portrait style. You could draw strands a little longer or check out art of them with more complex hair for ideas on what to do there.
  7. Her head is fairly tall resulting in a rather long looking face. To make sure you have the right proportions on a portrait, I recommend comparing your work to vanilla portraits. The colors in her hair are all very close together so its a little blobby and its hard to tell what is going on. Upon closer inspection of the hair, I can see that its shaded pretty strangely, with a heavy emphasis on the 2nd shade. The armor is very heavily lined and the light source is pretty inconsistent, on the near shoulder it comes from the left opv but on the rest it comes from the right opv. White and silver is usually shaded with 4 shades, and while you do have 4, you two shades that are very similar that should be the 3rd shade, and don't have a color between the brightest color and that. The new color would help smooth things out a little bit. For the color problems, I recommend sampling colors from existing portraits. Here's all the portraits for reference. It's less lumpy than a lot of early custom attempts I've seen and the lines are pretty smooth. I think you have potential but you gotta work on your colors and study portrait shading a little more. I can make some edits for if you'd like.
  8. Your animals are always fantastic! I also like that Harken, I don't think I've seen it before. Sad about your old gallery, sad to have image hosting break.

Assorted stuff. I'll save all my SoA stuff for after fee3 so no spoil
  10. Pm'd my votes in. I like all the different styles, lots of variety.
  11. Do participants get to vote and if so how does voting for yourself work?
  12. what do you want it for?
  13. First two are my favorites, though I feel the ears are in the wrong place second one, and their shoulder might be a little slim. Something about the green hair girls' faces is off putting to me. First one's face seems crowded or something and the second's eye might be too low or something. I really like the hair on the first two.
  14. Both directions for that person are pretty pillowy. For the far side of the face, its better to make most of it second shade (or 3rd if you're into fe8 shading). and for a lot of other areas it looks like you might have just been overzealous with anti aliasing. For areas that are going to be lighter you don't need that much anti aliasing and don't be afraid to let the lightest and darkest colors touch.

Where to even start, maybe with that the insert image button sucks now?
  16. You really need to work on your pillow shading, as well as your colors. It looks kinda like you're using mug colors for your skin shades when you should be using bs colors. Everything is also super pillowy, you don't need to AA everything, I think that's contributing to your problem.
  17. Use a photo uploading site like http://imgur.com/ and the image function of posts to have your screenshots easily viewed without clicking each one. These splices are pretty simple, but they look pretty good. Some of the colors lack contrast, like the blonde's hair and the orangehead's hair.
